Oh Heck Rusty I bet you're shell shocked - you'll need lots of help if you have the op - should I set up a rota so we can all come up & take a turn?

Rota would be lovely, not to help but to come have a cuppa and a biscuit with me and some crafting :D I feel I have lots left to learn from you beautiful ladies! :D ... I really am quite shocked by it all, and I have scared myself even more by reading on some forums where the op made their pain worse? so I quickly turned them ones off and decided to see how things go when I recieve an appointment from the hospital! Least I know the pain isn't in my head which I sometimes think other people do :(

Oona - yes please to ben. He could occupy the kiddliwinks for me :D he is such a little lovely :D
What is this elf template you talk about?? where did you buy it from? just so I can be a nosey cow :D

Just got this email thought you'd all like to see it.

"Hello Margaret and all the wonderful ladies,

I just wanted to let you know that the cards arrived safely this morning.
All I can say is THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH, the cards are beautiful and will be very well received by our men and women in Afghanistan. They will start going out next week in the parcels, that in turn gives them plenty of time to write and return them to their loved ones.

I am truly very grateful for your kind donations and I know the guys and girls out there will be over the moon to receive such lovely cards for them to then send home.

Thank you and my very best wishes to you all,

    Joy xx"

To quote you again Marg ... OH said that it was a very good amount of cards from us all, he also suggested that we need to get in contact with this lady again and have a regular monthly challenge of cards. Maybe set it at making 2 cards per month one of which would be something like a birthday card and the other something like a valentines card as they must also want things like this? especially valentines cards and being away from their loved ones. I definately think it would be something worth considering!

Been to ASDA this afternoon and they had the Twinings tea selection in stock for those who want to make teabag cards, unless you are all buying them from Craftygranny's warehouse lol

Marg....phew.... glad you liked the cake!! What a lovely letter from Joy. Our post office are collecting for the Troops Comfort Parcels ie sweets toiletries, sanitary products, writing paper and things like socks and pot noodles and cuppa soup all the things that we take for granted at home. Like Choccy said I look forward to helping again.
  • Rusty I will text you a picture of him to youre phone if you can accept pictures ? Hes A5 size and made from plastic stuff ;) I bought him from a craft shop near me, then found out they have a craft club every 2 weeks :) So i might find a close by craft buddy :)

Blimey Rusty, you don't do things by halves do you. You need to sit down and talk to the doctor face to face about what is involved etc. I always think anything medical in writing looks scary. Make sure you think about questions you want to ask and write them down to take with you. One of them needs to be, can you be transfered to a hospital nearer me so I can help look after you and your kiddies ;)

Marg, what a lovely email back :D

Flourgirl, fab news about Willow's dolls :T

Glad you had a great day MrsTidge :T

My DS seems a touch better this afternoon so fingers crossed he is improving.

I've added a few new things to my blog including the fruit cake I have baked today using flourgirl's fab recipe over on Crafty Place.

Have a good weekend everyone :D

Rusty - results sound all complicated to me. But at least you know now what's been causing all the pain and can put it right.

rainmac -glad DS is a bit better.......antibiotics take time but OH's have helped him a lot.
He had his hospital appointment through today - 13th Oct. at 4.40pm ! Letter says expect to be there some time for xrays and tests.(morning appt.would mean all morning it says)............!! Just hope we're home before midnight.......................lol
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
