Rainmac - hope the anti bs kick in quickly.

MArg - great news about Willow's dolls.

I had a great time at pre-school, they only really want us to do the washing up after snack but I like to do the whole morning. They made shakers with rice today and decorated with crepe paper-just like us crafting away really! I'm going to take in a load of Christmas stash for them after half term, it;ll make a chnge to have some proper papers rather than cutting up wrapping paper for them!

Thanks rainmac, just what I was looking for and pleased that some decent meds will help DS1 feel more comfortable.

Flourgirl, Glad to hear theat the dollies are safe and well and back with Willow. Hope the teacher doesn't get into trouble for going down the other little one's bag and finding them. Fix the mother with a withering stare next time you come across her  She should have checked the bag in front of you.

Mrs T. you're brave, so very brave!!
 Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"!

I’ve had a busy week at work, and having a day off today, has meant that I have managed to make some cards this morning - blog. Really enjoyed doing these ones and it’s the first time I have used my cuttlebug, so am pleased with the results. All I have to do is get some money together for more embossing folders and dies.

Dragonlew – is it to late to enter the lace card challenge? If not here is my entry, which I have added over on CP.

Everyone who is feeling under the weather, I wish you all a speedy recovery particularly Saveapenny, Rainmac and your DS. I do feel for your son having croup. My youngest had it when he was about a year old and it frightened the life out of me – hope he is on the mend very soon, and glad that your Drs appointment has gone well, and you have the anti-biotics.

Popkins - have a fab time in Mauritius – I’m sure you will.

Jailhousebabe – nice to see you back, fingers cross for you with your dissertation.

Melissa – fab photos of Elliot on your blog, he is so gorgeous.

Mrs Tidge – glad you enjoyed your morning as a helper at pre-school. I got roped into helping at my son’s beaver pack – and like Rainmac says I’m not sure how that happened – but I am now official and have had to have a CRB check. I never thought I’d enjoy it but I have to say that I really do, but the noise levels of 23 boys running around/talking can get to you. I was asked last week to come up with some activities for the boys to do for fireworks night – thinking about making rockets out of empty kitchen rolls, tissue paper and lots of glitter.

It must be such a relief to be given the all clear Choccy, and I am glad your shoulder is feeling better Padster.

I am so glad to hear that Willow has her ‘dollies’ back. Some kids can be so dishonest. I’m still waiting for a pair of trousers and school sweatshirt to appear, – Jack has only had them since the beginning of September. Not sure who has them and despite asking the Teacher daily nothing has been found. I so resent having to buy another set, but think it will come to it. Obviously makes no difference that they were named either.

Sorry to anyone I have missed, and apologies for the different sizes of text, not sure what has happened.

Hope to make some more cards later on today, now my craft bits are out and all over the dining room table :rotfl:.
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

Sorry not had chance to catch up properly :( we have been out all morning and OH came home last night so didn't get a chance to come on.

Hope all the poorly people are on the mend? and hope everyone else is ok.

Choccy fabby news about your results xxx

Just thought I would come on and let you know that I have had a letter from the hospital .... Wasn't expecting it to be quite so bad  when the woman mentioned a lot of damage it turns out she wasn't over exxagerating :(

    I have .....

    Central left-side paracentral disc prolapse a L5/S1
    Degenerative disc disease at L4/5
and lower lever left sided nerve root is compressed in lateral recess

They have also said that looking at the level of my symptons and results from my MRI scan I am a candidate for a microdiscectomy!

Good old google gave me this!

Just wanted to come on and let you all know as I keep getting txt's/PM's/emails asking if I have had my results yet. I am still waiting for an appointment to go to the spinal clinic at wansbeck hospital ... not sure I want to go now !

Rainmac - glad you got some meds for DS especially with weekend coming up.

Flourgirl - glad to hear that Willow has her dollies back - good teacher for dealing! The cake is divine we've just had a slice each - I love it! It's so moist tasty & light. I'd cut it in half intending to freeze one half & eat the other but I don't think it'll reach the freezer. Thank you!

CT - your cards are so pretty glad you've been having a good day. Well done for joining Beavers - I've been involved with Scouting for more years than I care to admit, mostly with cubs but when my last CRB came up for renewal I let it lapse as I was only doing Gang Show and wasn't worth them paying the fee. Apart from marrying DH joining Scouts was one of the best things I ever did.

Oh Heck Rusty I bet you're shell shocked - you'll need lots of help if you have the op - should I set up a rota so we can all come up & take a turn?

Just got this email thought you'd all like to see it.

"Hello Margaret and all the wonderful ladies,

I just wanted to let you know that the cards arrived safely this morning.
All I can say is THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH, the cards are beautiful and will be very well received by our men and women in Afghanistan. They will start going out next week in the parcels, that in turn gives them plenty of time to write and return them to their loved ones.

I am truly very grateful for your kind donations and I know the guys and girls out there will be over the moon to receive such lovely cards for them to then send home.

Thank you and my very best wishes to you all,

    Joy xx"
  • Rusty OUCH !! Cant think of much else to say ... But agree we need to set up a rota to come help ;) Shall i send Ben to you ? lol

Marg What a great email... Cant wait to get started on the next batch for them :)

Mrs Tidge Sounds great fun at preschool. What a great idea about taking in some stash.I just bought an elf template, if you would like me to copy it for you and post it ? Then you can photocopy it for them to colour :) Im hoping to get some others in the set, but wont be until next week.

CT19720 Off to look at your blog.. I love looking at updated blogs :)

Rusty - that all sounds very painful. At least this may mean getting on the right road to recovery though.

Choccy - I'd love to have an elf for pre-school. I'll pm you my address - thank you so much.

CT19720 - lovely cards. The swiss dots are so great aren't they?

DS2 now snoozing on the sofa - shouldn't have let him really but it's a nice excuse to come on here!

We've just come back from Tescos and I was thrilled to get some glass biscuit barrels - a bit like sweetie jars for £1 each as I'm making retro sweeite jars for the men in my family for CHristmas. I love it when a plan comes together!
