Wow Marg, 188 cards, what an achievement and huge thank you to you for organising such a fab challenge :A I love your lace/scrap card, it's gorgeous x

Many congratulations to Skiergirl for winning Marg's challenge :T

Beautiful card Polly, so glad your car is mended :D

Mel, love the photos of Elliot, having to take them for jabs is terrible, I really feel for you x

My craftyribbons order arrived today, only ordered yesterday :D If I won the lottery I would have to surround myself with paper and ribbon as I love it.

DS1 had an awful night, coughing and panicking cos he couldn't get his breath, it was horrible. Saw a new GP today and our appointment was filmed  and she said he has tonsillitus and croup. His temperature at the docs was 39.5 but she wouldn't give any anti-biotics because she said we needed to let his body fight it first. I nearly cried, bless him. Am going to take him back tomorrow if he's no better and demand to see another GP. I feel better, well, think I'm feeling better cos I am an angry at being fobbed off. The GP actually said "if he gets to the point where he is fighting for breath then pop him back for another look" Think it will be a dash to A&E if that happens . Since being home I've tucked him up on the sofa, given yet more Calpol and a lolly. We picked up an old X-Men cartoon DVD from the shop near the doctors so that is on the TV.

  • I've been so busy this week with hospital apts and such so i haven't got anything done this week crafting or house work but i decided to have a little play this morning with the pens that craftygranny so kindly sent me (hoping to send you a little something tomorrow)

I'm not overly fussed with it. I am not big into stamping but i tried. I think it looks better in the pic than in real life.

Marg, 188 that's brilliant, well done everyone!! Skiergirl, congrats on winnning a prize :j

rainmac What a poor little lambkin, if his chest gets hurty and he has difficulty breathing don't hesitate to call the ambulance and tell them he has breathing problems, they will always respond pretty quickly, a hottie bottie on the chesticles always feels good. It does for me, anyway;) Ruddy doctors! I'm very lucky living out in the middle of nowhere as I can usually see the doc on the same day or get to see nursey!

Off to have a peek young Mr Scrummy on Melissa's blog.

Rainmac - so sorry to hear DS is so poorly & GP rubbish - it must be so hard for you to see - I've never had breathing probs but sounds like good advice from The Wife. Is it croup where they recommend steam? Give him a big HUG from me & have one yourself 'cos it sounds like you need (more than) one.

Thanks for your kind words everyone about the challenge & my lacy/scrap card. I'm sorry we aren't going to take them ourselves but DH is going to pay for them to be delivered:D. He was very impressed with them all. I was too!!

Flourgirl - I made your 'Alice' cake last night - it smelled good & looks good but we haven't tried it yet - I'll let you know......Thanks for the inspiration I haven't baked a 'big' cake for ages.

Rainmac - the hardest part (after lining the tin!) was waiting for the mixture to cool before I put the eggs & flour in, I was scared the eggs might 'cook' right away, other than that it was very easy to do:j

Hi Rainmac, Dylan had croup when he was about 18mths and it was awful so i really feel for you. We had 6 hours in A&e and abot 70 puffs of ventolin before they diagnosed croup.I found the best thing was to sit in the bathroom with him and run the hot tap and the shower untill the room was filled with steam. We did it practically ever 2 hours it really seemed to help. Everytime he gets a cold or a cough I panic that it might come back.

I really hope he feels better soon xxxxxx

Well done skiergirl on wining the challenge:j:j

Well done with all your cards.......:T

rainmac - can you try another GP in your practise -sort of second opinion ? Might be worth a try if its a practise with several GP's to choose from. Do hope he gets better soon.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

louby - your cards are lovely - the Ben 10 one is great.
rainmac - hope your son is ok - my eldest Jack has suffered from croup and it is a worry. He has to be the odd one as well - and seems to get better with cold air?? rather than warm steamy air strange:rolleyes:.
Dont know if any good to you ladies but got a pack of 2 mini punches 1 heart shape and 1 scalloped circle reduced to 50p in wilkos they also had a pack that I think was a car & a train.
