Oooo Melissa I definately need those Perfectly Posh ones. I love Imaginisce papers they are such good quality and the little stamps are brill to use.

Craftygranny I could do with some flying slippers for when I do housework to get round quicker and have more time for crafting :)

I have just put 2 more challenge cards on my blog. There is now stopping me at the moment entering these challenges, now I know how to do the linky thingy:)

Girls I'm really struggling with cutting things, I'm left handed (I know that's no excuse!) but everything I cut never ends up straight! I've got just a normal A4 paper cutter but still can't do it straight... What am I doing wrong??!!

Hels - I have the same problem especially when I want to cut matting pieces with a small/fine border - I blame my dodgy eyesight + L handed. How do you all get such precise narrow bordered matting sheets? Is there a secret knack?

Gemma - Hope you are feeling better today - your lovely swing card has just arrived - Thank you - I've just shown it to DH & said I've got to make one like it to send to you & his instant comment was 'I'll do the cutting for you!' LOL He's got no confidence in my cutting either:rotfl:

Flourgirl - the cards on your blog are fantastic - hope you win with them.

Rainmac - My ATC for you should be posted today - all being well - it also turned out a bit Christmassy - sorry

    Running out of time........ again!

Hope Rusty & Polly you are feeling better today -

    Byeee!

Welcome to the club, Hels. I can't cut for toffee even with brand new glasses or sharp scissors. Not going to own up how many times I printed and cut that decoupage card of mine :o:o OH was in fits as I would all of a sudden whack my arm down to the side of me (a la Dawn Bibby) he thought I had bagpipes:rotfl:

I've got a good cutter and I can't cut out mats and layers at all. I was so pleased when nesties were brought out :j
 Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"!

    I don't have a cutter =-just various pairs of scissors..............lol:rotfl:Not sure I know what a 'straight line' really is..................lol:rotfl:

Getting on well today...........cut out some white flowers from felt and stuck them on pair of pale grey gloves for sons girlfriend. They're the sort that can be mittens -top piece folds over the back and loops through a button -= so I've stuck the flowers over the button so it looks like the middle of the flower and gone round the edge with bit of white thread................another thing done I can tick off............:j
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

When I'm cutting anything for matting and layering I use my Xcut guillotine, the measure on the side is in millimetres so makes it easy. First I cut out my image to the size I want, then the next layer cut 5mil bigger and if a third layer cut that another 5mil bigger.
    i.e. image size 50x70 = 5x7cm
    first matt 55x75 = 5.5x7.5cm
    second matt 60x80 = 6x8cm
That will give you a narrow border all the way round your image.

Well thats how I do it, everyone has their own way :)

Mel, love those new Imaginisce ranges and those flowers and gems are fab too :D

Rusty, I have made your CP swing card but not quite finished it and then need to get to the post office, hopefully will be with you by the end of the week/start of next week x

JHB, thinking of you, break your work down into chunks and tackle it a bit at a time trying not to look ahead too much x

Sorry to all those feeling below par. I've had a cold since the weekend but it seems to be getting worse day by day. Feeling rather sorry for myself today  I have loads of cards to make for birthdays and want to enter a few challenges but don't have the required get up and go to start sorting them out. I mau have to buy some cards :o I do have a nappy cake to make for an order so need to do that tonight. Maybe I'll try a bit of card making after that ;)

Going to take my neighbour to the sort of local craft warehouse on Saturday for their monthly open day. She tends to buy her stuff from QVC so I think she is going be love the prices in the warehouse and no postage to add on top ;)

Lovely cards on blogs and one very handsome pooch TheWife, he is so very beautiful :D
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain
