Hi ladies, just doing a quick catch up - and having a bit of a panicky thick moment!!! When you talk about matting papers/cards etc(it mentions matting in mags as well). Is it just covering with your chosen patterned paper???

It's cutting different layers each one slightly bigger than the last one which you can then stick on top of each other with glue DST or sticky pads.

Most of the stuff on my blog has some kind of matting on it :D
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
  • Flourgirl - very pretty cards :T

    DTB - lovely cards :T

JHB - gorgeous cards, good luck on finishing your dissertation :D

    Louby :rotfl:

Mel - thanks for the link to the flowers :T

Polly - glad you're feeling a bit better, gorgeous card :T

Bunbun - lovely trifold card :T

    swmtyn - sorry I can't help as I can't justify paying for a die cutter :D

Gemma - hope you're better today xx
Rusty - hope you're better too and the new painkillers are working xx
Rainmac - hope you're feeling better soon xx

I haven't got any inspiration at the moment even though I have cards to make, so have gone back to my cross stitch as at least I follow a chart :o
  • Padster - I think the current challenge is to use scraps and die cuts. I'm sure someone else will confirm it though :D

Thanks paddington - I dont know what I am doing:confused:. Had a look at some of the cards I have made and it has basically been covering the card then putting my images on - so dont think I have matt'd yet! Or I might have and not realised:rolleyes:
  • Thank you Craftygranny and Melissa75, the stamps i'm looking for are like a small long round wooden barrel with a tiny rubber stamp on one end, they are usually used for creating floral wreaths or borders. I'm not very good with my explanations i'm afraid

Anyone who has an X cut guillotine, do you have the 12 inch one? My little fiskars trimmer goes blunt in about 5 minutes and I'm sick of replacing the blades or having to put up with furry edges, so I am definitely going to either get the X-cut 12" or the 8", is the 12 inch massive? and are the blades replaceable or do you need to buy another guillotine when it goes blunt?
