rainmac - I stapled my calendars at the top and they tore off ok............just one staple at each end or an extra one in the middle, depending on size. Did a practise run on mine first to make sure they came off ok.
Not as good as the perforated edge ones but doing them this way meant I could get them done straight away (impatient as ever..........:rotfl:)

Oh thanks Mary you just reminded me that my paper trimmer has a perforated blade so can use that so the calender sheets rip off. If anybody want any calenders doing with peforated bits let me know I will happily do it for you

Congratulations Furry! (I can never write that word without wanting to sing a la Cliff - Congratulations - not Furry!)

Flourgirl - your card is exquisite.
  • Hels congratulations on your new nephew. How big is he .

My daughter came tonight and i was sorting cards out to see how many i can fit in the parcel to marg and she said can i see those so i passed them across and she said where did you get them from i said where do you think and she said did you make those they look just like proper cards i didn't know you were so talented. I don't know whether it was a compliment or an insult but it feels like an insult. Maybe it's because i know she doesn't like handmade cards and says i don't know why you just don't go the shop and buy a proper one you're not that poor. Oh well in january when it's her birthday i'll be buying a 29p one from asda .

Oh craftygranny I feel for you! Proper cards! indeed!

    Asda 29p:rotfl:Love it!

My best friend doesn't understand either, she's more delicate than me (not difficult!) and likes to fiddle with stuff, makes pretty cakes etc but just can't see the point of handmaking cards! Mind you, in her house cards are binned after a week or so whereas I always keep ours for at least 12 months & always have done.

Good job we are all different!
  • I've just uploaded a new card to my blog http://leialegweak.blogspot.com. Also made my first ever commissioned card, which i'll upload a photo of tomorrow x
