Fedupandskint - welcome to the thread. The calendars are made by Anitas - you can get them in the Range (where they haven't already been bought out by us lot!) or other places that stck DoCrafts stuff. They are 10 for £1.
Zoelikesjam - welcome also. I'm a cuttlebug girl and don't have experience of any others I'm afraid!0 -
Sorry -not had time yet to catch up with you all and what you've done.
Been busy transforming a cork board (well half cork and half board)...........covered the board bit with linen textured paper in coffee colour, added a coaster calendar at the top and coaster with post it pad at the bottom......left the cork part for pin board. Two little pots I had photo films in I've covered.........one for pens and one I've covered the lid as well for drawing pins.
(Hoping grandson likes it........) Was going to do it for myself but I'd done a placemat with a cork piece on it for his sister -want to try and give them similar.
So............had busy day.............went out and scrounged two beer mats from local pub so I could do it............lol
Found 2010 diary for 99p so want to cover that..........need Melissa's inspiration.....................I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Thanks for the beer mat link flourgirl. Hubby isn't coming home tonight he is having a jolly i mean a meeting at center parcs for the next 2 days so i won't answer the phone tonight if he rings to tell me he has been in the spa, in the hot tubs, down the rapids then had a indian when i can't go and do that as peggers. I may do some cards tonight but had a friends 2 children over to play today and i have just been on the pen hunt without any luck so am a bit whacked.
I went to all the supermarkets but they didn't have any small enough. I remember someone said they got some from morrisons so i nipped there and i couldn't believe all the back to school stuff was gone and it was now a christamas aisle  My ds hasn't even started school yet and they have got rid of all the school stuff. I am going to be a very sad mummy next week when he does go but i prob will be on here more which is a good thing.:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0 -

Could I tag along for a bit of help and advice?
I am planning to make my OH Birthday card this year and family Christmas Cards too - I have loads of stock in!
Anyhow I have got in some post its and clips to make post it holders and I would love to make to coaster calenders to use up some papers and flowers etc. All the examples on here look fantastic!
Just a quick question - could someone point me in the direction of where to get those calenders from? Are they buyable or printable? They look the perfect size.
I have access to hobbycraft and all the usual supermarkets/wilkos etc if they are from there. I can't wait to try and make them as they look so brill, any tips or are they are straightforward as they look?
HelloI got my Anita's calendars from ebay as couldn't find them locally. Or you could print these and make your own?
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Just had a quick catch up:
Rainmac - what a great idea for your alternative advent calender - was thinking of something similar for my mum its her first one without dad so thinking this might be nice for her.
(Have you ladies with boys been getting the free lego with the mirror this week (that could be a similar idea as well - cheaper than the actual lego advent calender!)
Sunrise - what a lovely card for your mum & dad - they will love it.
Flourgirl - well done to you and your crafty buddy! (I want one!)
Craftygranny - more lovely things on your blog.
Rusty - Fingers crossed for the florist!
Hels - ooh wait until they come !!! I wont sleep tonight!0 -

Thank you both for your help :jgreatly appreciated!
I'll try printing these off first as I am not sure if there is a Range anywhere around here - is it a craft store?
With the printable ones are there any tips for attaching the pages together so they are able to be ripped off gently month by month?
I am making one of these for my mum, for me to use at work and a collegue at work who I think would love this style calender toofinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

I was wondering how you attach the pages, could you pop one staple in the top so they would come away easily? If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

My mum & dad have been through a fair amount of carp this year so I wanted to try make sure they have a nice Christmas. I have been buying the Mirror for the Lego sets, going to sort my vouchers out and send them away tomorrow. I was wondering about whether to do a different advent calendar for the boys but wasn't sure what to do or how to package it. The Lego toys would be brilliant for it. May have to think a bit more about that and what else I could do to fill up the 24 days without spending a fortune! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Will try one in the centre at the top or one in each corner at the top and see which looks and works bestfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
