rusty I went to imag-e-nation in Washington today. it is just round the corner from Dainty supplies. I went to buy double sided tape as I have used so much this week end! they didn't have the packs of 5 for £1 they are waiting for more stock...from China!!
I bought the forever friends christmas set and a cutting mat (and the tape!!)
and next door they have a sweet shop with loads of sweets in jars!
Oooh I have been in that sweet shop, leading upto christmas they have some lovely bits perfect for stockings and advent calenders!! .... What was imag-e-nation like? was it big??
Hels - He did a fab job didn't he!! ... I put one on last night and didn't like it so told him which top I liked and told him to see if he could find something tasteful which I would like ... I came home to that and I love it!!
Bunbun I have a 2008 Astra H 5 door. 1.6 so it is quite nice .... I am used to driving OH's sport hatch so its all pretty similar, but the drive and comfortability is lovely!!! .... I asked OH if I can have one ... he said if he could guarantee work for longer than the next 4 weeks I could ... but as he can't then neither can I lol. I had one of them Sciento things just after Tom was born as a courtesy car cause my old nova was stolen (woohoo I conned the insurance company cause I bought it for £150 and they gave me £600 back cause the thieves wrote it off! ) Anyway I got in it and took it straight back to them and went mad, they apparently weren't allowed to give me anything bigger cause I was only 20 years old, and I stood my ground cause the seatbelt wouldn't go around Toms car seat, and my pushchair wouldn't fit in the boot so completely pointless!! can't remember what they gave me as a swap but it was biggerRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Hello all,
I've lurked here a while but never plucked up courage to post as you all make such fab cards - mine are more assembled!
Could I ask a question? Does anyone know the best glue to stick velvet ribbon on a card as I don't want it falling off.
Thanks0 -
Still seem to be unpacking, washing drying from my camping trp but I have also managed to acquire a set of drawers for the craft room so have spent the afternoon shoving that upstairs and then trying to get a filing cabinet downstairs.
Just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to Rainmac for the lovely gift she sent for Tom's birthday. It was a lovely surprise as it arrived whilst we were away but we managed to get to the sorting office this morning.
Tom was over the moon, and rightly so it was very generous.
He'll post pics on his blog when he returns from his Dad's tomorrow.
I ordered my guillotine so am hoping it will arrive v soon. Also bought 3 packs of promarkers in HobbyCraft yesterday which was a little bit naughty. Just need to get some image to colour in now. Also booked my tickets for the harrogate show and a workshop both mornings. Sadly the copics one I'd fancied was fully booked but I'm going to 2 minibook ones that I'll send out to my sis in Helmand.
Back to the grindstone I suppose..................0 -
Salesadmin Happy Birthday for today . Hope you're having a good time .
Rusty love the blog makeover it's so elegant. Glad you got a car sorted too.
wishfulcomper Hello and welcome to the thread . Everyone's cards are different and that's what is so good. Don't be afraid to join us we all had to start somewhere. As for the ribbon i use double sided tape as close tothe width of the ribbon as i can get. If it's a bow i use glue dots, foam pads or super glue if all else fails .lol.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

Hels & Bunbun - I have a big bite rather than a normal crop-o-dile - what problems are you having? If I can help at all I will.
I'm now popping out for a couple of hours but will answer when I get backOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
