as i mentioned earlier, im going to nyc in few days, although my friend is not crafty im still hoping to get into a craft shop when there!!!! So i thought possibily martha stewart range would be cheaper out thereand ive had my eye on a scallop circle punch for a while what size would you suggest i get ? is 3" too big?
any other suggestiongs:rolleyes:
Hi Martha Stewart was cheaper when I was in the USA in Feb and they were selling it in Walmart and I bought a small scalloped circle in her range just wish I had bought more!! Most card making stuff seems to be cheaper there and was even better value when the dollar was weaker!!
Cuttlebug bits are also cheaper if u have one. I hope u have a wonderful time and get a chance to visiet some of the amazing huge crafty stores like Michels and Joanns Don't forget to signup for emails and u will get discount vouchers too!!0 -
thanks furrypig, were where u in usa?
im going to new york mainly and i googled the stores u mentioned but i couldnt see if they had them in new york city. do u know?
thanks for Martha product tips0 -
Good to see you back Choccy
Sorry your plans were cancelled Furry, sounds like you are having a good weekend anywayI have one duplicate Promarker pen, would you like it so you can have a go with one and see what you think?
Polly, your card is beautiful, I love it and thank you for sharing the promarkers site, I had a quick look earlier and there is so much advice about how to use them, even transfering stamped images to candles - brilliant for pressies :j
For anyone wanting to make a coaster calendar, these coasters are only 7p each and p&p is 99p. I have tried the magnets I got from ebay and only needed to use one in the middle to hold the coaster securely to the fridge so my 25 for £1.50 will keep me going for 25 coasters not 12 :T
Thanks Rainmac that is a very kind offer! Also I think I may splurge on some beer mats and magnets etc etc as they will be great to make with the kids and for pressies for so many people for Chrimbo need to get some calendars now!! Was it the glitterpot u recommended??0 -

I was in Florida so there were lots there but sadly due to business and illness didn't actually mange to visit any ot the big ones!!
But there are Walmarts everywhere!! Also got some nice bits in the dollar store! Scrapbooking is huge over there so most of the big stores seemed to stock lots of crafty goodies.
You could try going on the travel thread re New York and ask if anyone knows of any craft stores???0 -
thanks furrypig. Ive been on the nyc thread when planning the trip but found they arent as nice as ppl in here, can be a little scarcastic so would be a bit worried about getting laughed out of the thread asking about crafts! Might pluck up courage b4 thurs. I was seaching for threads on "to do in nyc" and one from way back in 2006 was a similar user name to u and when i clicked more posts it was infact you. lol... full circle!0
