Hiya rainmac thanks for the nice welcome! These are toooo cute! I will definitely be giving them a go, I use post-its all the time!

    I can't see a linky . I have calendars - thanks Skier :D
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
  • Congratulations Melissa on your guest DT spot. :D I've just had a look at your card on CCC, it's fab - and top billing too. ;)

Rusty - hope DD is feeling a little better (and sleeping!) x

Polly - love your CCC card this week. I have only 1 forever friends stamp and would like to buy more, but... I just can't colour the little blighters in to my satisfaction! They just don't look right by the time I've finished with them. :(

rainmac - thanks for the links. DD is a stationery freak, she'll love the post-it clipboards and the calendar idea. :)

saveapenny - I'm so jealous, Santorini is the most beautiful place I've ever been to. I hope you have a wonderful time.

    jamtart - welcome back. :)
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

    Oh dear hun!

There isa scrapbooking thread on here plus there are lots of really nice people on UKS that you could ask advice from.. Alternatively go on a few blogs and just 'borrow' their ideas or layouts if they suit your theme/photos.

Sadly I have still not even started a scrapbook page!! I have the ideas and the crafty bits but sadly lacking in getting going!!! Good luck xxx

    Morning!

I just want to say a big thankyou to Mrs Tidge, your card swap and bag of goodies arrived this morning, thankyou ever so much they are beautiful! I love the card!! looks a tad complicated for me though! I will put pictures on my blog later on when DD is calmer.

Also a big thankyou to & son who kindly sat and cut and embossed on the cuttlebug and produced me some lovely presents!! Thankyou ever so much & son, you are very kind ;) and so is your mum!

Postman also brought my new 29 promarkers :j :j but no gorjuss girls which makes me think that they may not come! I knew I was stupid to order from there again!

Until Whoopidoo gets back all I can do I think is go and look at other people's I guess. I have until October I think I can cobble something together by then...hopefully...lol... but it's weird how it's in my dreams now... must be thinking about it a lot hehe

.... having not been on UK scrappers or the scrap thread on here before I don't have the time... took me 6 weeks to start posting on here! :o

    ...hehe :rotfl:

Are you stuck with scrapping Myzdamena? Can I help at all. Not scrapped in ageeeees but have a fair old idea what I'm talking about!

I find to get started, I pick my photos as to me, they are the most important, find coloured card/paper to compliment the pictures, and determine my layout by the size of the photos and the number of photos I have usually. Either find an alphabet or print a title, scribble some journalling and stick as many embelishments on as possible :D (ok not the last bit but the rest is ok advice!)

I think maybe I've fallen into the trap that I usually do... 'nothing is good enough' ... it doesn't have to be spectacular I guess she'll like even the most mediocre effort as I made it myself... but I hate churning out anything less than 'perfect' which is why I hate most of my cards usually... :(

...but on the other hand I don't like copying someon's ideas...I have done that in the past and although the cards look great I feel like I cheated...

.....ok so I need a shrink more than Whoopidoo I guesss... *blush*

    lol

Do you think I should buy a huge lot of 12 x 12 papers like a complete mix and see what i like? The papers aren't cheap so I don't want to spend money I don't need to... spesh after buying those Nesties lol but I Got Them For Nan's Scrapbook Didn't I? ;)
