rainmac - thanks for the link to the stamps, they are great and really lovely.
craftygranny - I'm so pleased, thats really excellent news!

I got a bit ebay happy last night and won a crafting bundle!
Now debating about glitter chalks (can I blame rainmac ... only as they were on the link with the stamps and they look lovely!)
Does anyone know if they actually last on a card or ware out if that makes sense?! Are they easy to use?
    TIA x

Whoop Whoop I won a lovely stamp :j Thankyou Rainmac for telling me :A I enter these things and then never check to see if I have won, cos I usually haven't! I'm so chuffed.

No pancakes for us today :( bet my lads and their kids will be having them though. Lurkio soup for lunch ( you know the bits of veg that lurk in the bottom of the fridge) with fresh homemade bread and Spag Bol for tea. Not very adventurous am I?

Craftygranny I'm really pleased to hear how the girlies are getting on, they are so brave :A:A

The-Wife you must take good care of yourself, this virus has hit you really hard. Tell your DH that a nice 2 weeks in the sun laid on a sunbed will do you the world of good:D

Rainmac tell your friend to come and join us on here, we will be gentle with her lol. Can't wait for the NEC :j everytime I think about it I get butterflies in my tummy... I know I should grow up!!

Well I've got a grump on - I was expecting an order from Silly Monkey Crafts to turn up and it hasn't arrived - fingers crossed for tomorrow! I've got my nephew staying at the minute so I'm living in a house with 5 men - ahhh!!!!

Craftygranny - I've thinking about your two special girls - that's great news about Carly and I'm glad to hear Alicia is okay.

Rusty - I agree with you completely - I hate male cards - but yours looks fabulous - so personal - and I love how you've layered the buttons. Congratulations on your win!!! Sounds like something I'd do - posting a card off without writing in it!!

Saucy - those new glamour GF stamps are great - I wouldn't mind getting some!!! I keep telling myself that I have too many "cute" stamps but I can't resist buying them.

Lyndach - sorry to hear you had a rubbish day yesterday - did you find those brads anywhere???

Rainmac - my boys are exactly the same - they're either mortal enemies or best friends - the middle one is always winding the oldest up and then telling tales on him when he snaps. Like you I love lemon and sugar - I could happily eat pancakes every day (if someone cooked them for me).

Gemm - it took me quite a few attemps to thread the stupid machine - I haven't been near one since school - and I was useless at sewing then!! I couldn't figure out why the thread kept snapping but I think its sorted now - just got to figure out this "tension" thing - oh and buy more cotton - I've only got a couple of reels.

Nannyboo - sorry to hear you've been having a rough time - sending you hugs.

The-Wife - sorry you've been ill - sending you hugs too!

Flourgirl - congrats on your win!!!

  • Wow! 501 pages.. I'm not even going to attempt to go through all of them!!

I bought some die cuts, and various bits and pieces like paper etc from ebay / tesco and have made 4 cards in total so far. One thing I'm finding hard is how to frame cards. I know that I want to put one embellishment on it but then I'm kinda lost.. is there a good guide on the net somewhere to start me off?

Marg my DH has just told me that at 15.50pm the worlds largest areoplane is coming in to land at Robin Hood Airport (Antonov's big brother! your DH will know) Please bear in mind that they are about 200ft above my bungalow when they approach, we are right on the flight path accross from the airport!! Camera at the ready!!!

Hi Kelda welcome to the thread :) Just to warn you you are on dangerous ground! It sounds like the spendy elves are about, and you will never have any money on here, we are very MSE and buy lots of sale stuff but probably too much lol.

First try blog hopping, have a good look around and see what other people are making and find a style that you are comfortable with. I'm not saying copy but you will get an idea. Most of us have blogs and you can access them by clicking on our username and visiting our homepage. Bye the way if you want to copy anything from my blog (you probably won't lol) I would be flattered x

Kelda_shelton - welcome to the thread!!! I'm not sure what you mean about "framing" your cards - have you tried looking at some of our blogs for inspiration????

flourgirl - good luck with your plane spotting! D'oh - you beat me to it!!!!

The Wife - sorry you're so poorly at the moment!! It just doesn't want to go away does it - hope this lot of antiobios & steroids do the trick!!

Craftygranny - glad things progressing well with both your girlies!!!

Just had to pop on cos soooo excited - my PINK cuttlebug just arrived!!! Its really cheered me up cos I'm having a carp week - really ill with some flu bug - Valentines had to be postponed cos of it!! and been awful ever since!!! Its really bad timing as got sooo much to do this week!!! Managed to finish the wedding invites yesterday (don't know how as can't even breathe or see straight!! they're probably all wonky!!) and also got orders for 5 nappy cakes!! 2 are nearly finished and just trying to force myself to finish them cos gotta deliver them tomorrow!!! Not even sure how I'll be able to drive tbh!!!

Anyway I LOVE my pink Cuttlebug but now feel guilty and maybe I should hide it from hubby until I feel better just in case he tells me off!!!

Some fab makes on blogs - have only had a chance to look at a few sorry haven't posted but I keep having to lie back down on the sofa!!!
