dragonllew- sorry dont have a template, but managed to make one myself a while ago (believe me it must have been easy!!), Just measured slightly bigger than a note that was to be the middle section and then made the same size either side, one side for the front, and the other to fold over to tuck the money inside, I cut that one on a diagonal and glued just at the edge to tuck the money in and keep it secure. I'm not sure if that makes sense?!? lol0

Eeee I am soooo dopey!!! I have just been talking to my mam and showed her a poc of the card for her boyfriend, I was laughing away with her and it suddenly dawned on me that I have posted his card for tomorrow, but forgotten to actually write in it!!!! :eek: :rotfl:
Some freebie digi image giveaway here

Dragonllew sorry I dont have anything like that! I did find this though if it is any help?

Thank ladies, it's basically the end of smp, Originally I was told that I was entitled to 39weeks SMP and have upto 52weeks off (return to work date being august) But I've had 23 weeks paid and have been told I should go back to work or have another 26 weeks unpaid. I worked out if I go back I'll be on a minus income lol but if I don't I'll be ok, though seeing as me and OH live with my mum I can stop paying rent and make all chores mine, kind of like a live in maid!!GC July: £0/£1200

I think cards with stitching on look lovely, and yours is fab. Is it any trickier sewing through card/paper?
It's not too difficult, the main thing is holding the paper/card steady as it tends to swivel from side to side as the little runner things try to feed it through IYSWIM?
just to give you all a laugh though - the first time I tried it, I DST'd the 2 bits of paper together along every edge first and then sewed it.... how stupid can I get :rotfl: it took me about 20 mins to unsticky my needleHi everyone you all sound like a friendly bunch. I have the basics for card making but i need some inspiration. I did a card making course and whilst I was doing it got some really good ideas. Think Ive got card makers block. If thats the correct term. I didnt even do a valentines for my boyfriend. Would love some hint/tips/ideas/inspiration.
happy crafting

welcome to the thread Joanne, blogs are a fab way of getting ideas so have a browse around, I'm always finding new things I'd like to try out!Gemm - your bag is gorgeous - and your card is so pretty!! I got a sewing machine for xmas from my Mum so that I could sew my cards - I still haven't got the hang of it yet!!!!
aww mel - I'm sure you're doing fine, do show us some machine sewed cards soon! when I first got mine out the box I had to phone my auntie to ask her to come show me how to thread it up, despite only using one about 3 years ago! my memory with some things is shocking, I maintain that if I didn't drive for a month I'd forget how (OH would say I dont know how to drive in the first place)

There are rules and regulations about how much time you can have off and how much is paid and how much unpaid so I would check it out that they have the figures and dates right before agreeing anything. There's some general info here. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
