    Thrify - believe me I do know how it feels! Forgive me if I'm telling you something you already know but have you tried lightly scratching/scoring the surface before you start - so the steam can seep/get behind the paper IYSWIM
  • jojododd - Welcome :D
    :wave:Hi, I have a passion for crafting.......I'm always up to something :rotfl::rotfl:

    :j I have found the key to weight loss.....ZUMBA :j
  • Ooooh I'm all excited about the stash and ATC swaps :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    It's still decorating central here!!!

    I was very sensible and instead of the spendy elves buying the MS punches on QVC they bought me a steam wallpaper stripper :A Well the first layers came off no probs and then I hit the underneath layers - OMG I'd like to get my hands the people who originally decorated in this house :mad: I think they put the paper on with superglue :mad::mad::mad:

    One wall done - three walls and the ceiling to go - doesn't sound much if I say it quickly - grrrr!!!

    Hugs to all, Thriftyxxx

    I once lived in a house like that . It was so bad in the kitchen it had lino (remember that stuff it's for floors lol ) glued and tacked to 2 walls . There was a shelf on the wall too and if you stood on a chair you could see where they had painted the shelf around all the pans. suppose you knew which went where :rotfl:
    I can't settle today i've been like a cat on hot bricks Alicia flew to America this morning and it'll be about 1 am our time before they get to their hotel and we know that she was ok for the flight.

  • Fingers crossed craftygranny - I hope Alicia's treatment goes well. Let us know what day(s) her treatment is and I'll wear my knickers inside out for luck ;) xx
    some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)
  • JHB It's a good thought but her treatment will be every day for the next 6 to 8 weeks from tuesday.You'd end up with them in a right knot . She's braver than i am i would be dreading it.
    My other brave littlie gets her first implant switched on about 3pm tomorrow and her other one at 3pm tues here's hoping they work ok.

    I had a look at ebay but couldn't find any masculine in that size. Have you thought about wooden letters instead? you can either paint them or leave them plain.

    Can you look at the basic grey letters?? from some of their ranges i.e archaic and a couple of the others they look quite masculine? I know craft superstore had them in their sale a few weeks back so maybe look there?

    Craftygranny - sending lots of good luck for your girls! they will be fine and good luck for the switch on today! xxx

    I have to make my mums boyfriend a card today and get it in the post!! I struggle with male cards but have played around with a photo which my mum took of his canal boat and hopefully it will look ok on a card!! .... only one way to find out!
