Just popping on in my lunch break at work to say a HUGE thanks to Rusty for my lovely stamped images which arrived yesterday.
Also for the stash she sent for "&son". It cheered him up no end after his football practice was cancelled and he's currently gloating because he now has navy card candy and I don't Cheeky monkey!
Thanks Rusty -hope you feel better soon - I know from the probs I have with my eyes that it's so frustrating when you go through a painful procedure to make things better, it finally feels like you're getting somewhere and then all goes horribly wrong again.
And a bg hug from "&son" - best to have an e-hug from him with a bad back I think - he can be a bit over exuberant!0 -

I would love to go to a craft thing like the NEC or one in London, but I can only be on my feet a few minutes (I'm disabled). I also can't travel far. About 20 minutes driving is my limit.
Jaz, just picked up on this, I didn't realise that you couldn't stand for long. Just a tip when stamping - I've always found it better to stamp standing up so have a practice and see how you go. If you find you don't get good images if you stamp sitting down, leave it until you are able to stand up for a few minutes and you might do better.
As PLM says, you can emboss anything. Your fairy silhouette stamp would look lovely stamped with a black pigment ink pad then embossed with clear embossing powder. Have a look at this fairy silhouette card here. That's printed onto acetate but it gives you an idea of what they can look like.
Also, to get black embossing, it's better to use black ink pad/clear powder than using black embossing powder which, if you get specks in places you don't want, will show up and spoil your stamping.0 -
Rusty, sorry the hospital was rubbish  Can you book a wheelchair at the NEC? I'll happily push you round wherever you want to go xxx

Thankyou all, Rainmac I WILL walk round the NEC if it kills me!! I guess me and choccy will be comparing tablets and seeing who has the most aches and pains!!
Jazabelle thanks for the info, where abouts are you from? you should come to the NEC if you can make it? I have a slipped disc, disc disease and also a compressed nerve root, it has given me hell for over a year now! In december I have a mini op for a needle in my spine which has helped for nearly 2 months but now the pain is coming back!
DTB - Glad they arrived safely and glad &son liked them!
Just made a bottle hangerusing my robo
Edit: please excuse my manky kitchen tiles, I think I should stop crafting and go and clean them instead!! Also made a box, but haven't put stuff in it yet so will blog that laterRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Thanks for the link rainmac - I dont usually 'do' cats, but that one has an Aristocats feel to it, I could actually see myself using it.
Rusty - the bottle hanger is a great idea and looks fab. Did you use the scor-pal as well? I'm thinking it could be done quite easily with a score-pal and circle nestie/punch.
Giggle - your friend's niece's cakes look stunning. The top one is my favourite, the detail looks so intricate. Sorry I can't leave a comment on the blog.
Tomsmum - thanks for the tip; I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to try itLike you say, if I can find one I don't like very much then I may have a practice.
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -
Giggle - her cakes are amazing - I can't believe she's 15 - I think my favourite is the duck!!
Rusty - sorry to hear about your carp hospital visit! Your bottle hanger is fab - looks like you'll be getting loads of use out of your robo!!!0 -

Hi JHB, I don't have one of those posh scorpal things like youmine is a basic blue score board, but actually the robo scored it for me in all the right places so all I had to do was fold it and put some DST on, then decorate, it is very very easy to do without a robo though, just amazed I have never thought of it before!

Mary - I had an injection just over 2 months ago and I asked him again if that is something which would need to be repeated but they can only give me that 3 times in total as often the pain relief you feel from it lessons eash time? not sure how true that is but I just have to put up with it for now!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
