    Thanks for the tips!

What makes you cross about the ink? I was planning on buying some ink, so am curious!

The ink pads are great, cute way of opening but they need a little plastic cover like Stazon and a couple of mine have dried out and you can't buy a single ink refill, you have to buy 12  I've still got my original Versamark black and it's still lovely and wet. The punches are great they are my favourites, I could never work with Fiskars, I'm too heavy handed and expected them to cut card. Their embossing powders are good too, nice and fine.

All brilliant help there from Toms-mum. Copy and paste it and keep the info handy. A tip I was given by an SU demonstrator was to rub over your stamp with a pencil rubber and give your stamps a clean routinely too. But....... I know a lady who never cleans her stamps and they always stamp well. Hey ho!

I have been squishing into the ink though, so I will try tapping!

I hope you're more successfull after a little practice. Don't forget, stamp on table, rubber side up. Take the pad to the stamp not the stamp to the pad.

Oh, no, that sucks! I will have a look for one of the other inks mentioned.

    Thanks, I will do!

I don't seem to have the Create and Craft channel. I have Virgin and it said it was on channel 747, but it's Ideal World for me? Or is Create and Craft just a segment, rather than a channel?

I got so excited then! ;)

It's on Sky and Freeview, doesn't seem to be on Virgin - no number given for that.

There are craft shows on Ideal World, there is one at 3am if you want to set your recorder before you go to bed, Crafting with Stamps Away and there's a regular slot on Tuesdays at 2pm but they don't often have stamping on. I think there's on on Sunday afternoons at 2pm or 3pm also. Again, not sure how often they have stamping. QVC have regular craft shows on Tuesdays at 2pm but again they don't often have stamping.

  • Jazabelle - I really struggled with my stamping. I started off with wooden mounted stamps and couldn't get on with them; then I tried clear stamps on a flat acrylic block and didn't have much success there either. I then bought this to use instead of a flat block, and the results were miraculous! Unfortunately, all of my favourite stamps (forever friends) are wooden mounted, so I've had to get used to using them - practice makes perfect! I use Memento black ink for stamping, and colour with promarkers. I just make sure that I give the ink a few minutes to dry before I colour, but I do still get a little bleeding if I try to blend too much. The promarker blender pen usually gets rid of the bleed though.

PLM - Those photos are fab. I didn't realise you had anything to do with Creative Craft World - is that off the back of your Scrapbook Apprentice win? I can't wait to see what you do with the blog.

    Time to catch up!!

Firstly the hospital was rubbish :( apparently I will just have to put up with the pain and keep on with the painkillers :( looks like I will be wobbling my way round the NEC again!! so much for being pain free! few other things I need to think about with what he has said but need to discuss all of that with OH at the weekend!

Pointofnoreturn - Lovely cards where did you get the car from?

Popkins - hope you are feeling better soon. I prefer the longer bow? not sure why but I think it looks lovely!

Flourgirl - what a lovely card on your blog, infact I noticed some boxes you had made aswell!! love it all!

Skiergirl - glad you will make it to the NEC! :j hope you feel better soon!

Jazabelle if you want to try stamping without expensive ink pads then I can recommend the whispers pad, I use to use it all of the time and used to use my promarkers with it aswell, it cost me 99p from boundary mill! I now use memento but still prefer my trusty old whispers one!

The-Wife - It is the robo you have? or was it the silhouette? or the wishblade :rotfl: I thought it was a silhouette but now not convinced!!

Who mentioned spendy elves?? I thought mine were going to rear their ugly faces earlier but I stood in a craft shop after the hospital and couldn't find anything I wanted

I have found a lovely tutorial for a box so I think I might attempt to make one :)
