I know that this was a freebie and that I shouldn't complain but I really wouldn't be happy if I'd paid £6 for it. I'm astonished that the cover is merely photo paper - I really was expecting it to be sturdier. More fool me! My kids could have done exactly the same on my computer and stapled it together!

I'm now a bit worried about the £20 odd big one I purchased! That had better have a thicker cover on it or I'll be complaining, I think!
  • I don't mind the paper on the book, its more the poor printing that I was dissapointed with.

If you do want a perfect bound book, like what you get in the shops, try Bobs Books. I've had two books from there a flick book and a normal book and both look completely professional. That said, they did cost more than £6 icon7.gif

i've collected my orders and would have been disappointed with the small photobook if i had paid £6 for it but as a freebie (or even £3-4) it was worth.

I also got a square book £10 photobook for £4 using voucher and that is well worth the extra few quid. obviously the pics look better when bigger plus the paper seems heavier and becuase of size feels more tactile.

has anybody else not yet had the email saying its ready for collection?

I'm getting concerned now after reading that so many of you guys have collected already :(
  • anyone got the tracking to work, customer number-order number as stated before doesn't work. Site says Order number should be in the format: J 0123456 ??

You need to go onto the photo Jessops site "photo.jessops.com" (sorry won't let me type as a link) rather than the normal jessops one. Go to help menu at top and tracking is there. Read which no is first as I think it is the other way round than in email.

As an aside, I was very happy as a freebie but will not be getting my books this size done there. No cover and colours a bit iffy. IMO, the small Kodak ones are far nicer and start at that price too (less pages maybe and shipping to pay tho.....)

  • The Jessops Photo books are made by Cewe, currently Cewe-photoworld.co.uk has a welcome offer of a free booklet, the same as the jessops offer. But you have to pay the postage. the code is: WELCOME and you need to download the software from this site.:T

I hadn't recieved the email stating my booklet was ready, but i got impateient and went along to Jessops anyway today and sure enough it was there waiting for me. Slightly disappointed about that - surely we should be notified??
Anyway, pretty much happy with the booklet, i agree with others about it not being worth the £6, but was still a funky little freebie, a bit of fun and something different i guess!

    Thanks for this deal :T
