Managed to pay £100 back to A+L account that I to borrow and managed to chuck another £35 off debts.
Now pd £1490 upto end of Feb:j:j
Got dd off school, she was up coughing all Sat + Sun ngt, and being sick, rang the GP, earliest we can get you in is Friday.... ok can I have a home visit I have a sick child.....then an appointment suddenly become available at 12.20....
It was emergency, get seen by anyone, but we were so lucky she saw her fav doc, he asked her about her sleepover, I'd been chatting about last week at appointment, I thought was so sweet.
Shes off to at least Wed, you can tell she was poorly, even turned down a McDonalds for her dinner!!!
Now doseing her up on antibotic medicine. Hopefully she'll get all the illnesses sorted b4 we go away!
The plan is quiet week, push ahead with OU, looking forward to the next section, HRM, so hoping its interesting.

Big hugs for Miss Hoodie x xDebt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T
2020 the year of less - Less debt, less waste, less spending, less stuff, less stress!0 -
Miss Hoodie went back to school yesterday, she was still a bit off, but wanted to go back, and the doc had said 3 days off, she was a lot better, so sent her back, but with a letter saying no P.E. She didn't like as she loves P.E. but could 't risk her rounding around and coughing, then looked out at playtime (we live at the side of the school), and she's outside running around without her jacket on!! Children.
On a mse front-
Had a very mse night out last night, the bill came to £77.00 (there was just 2 of us) all I paid £8 for the 2 sets of liquer cofffees, they were fab so we had a 2nd one.....
Yes a £77 bill and there was 2 of us...... not that we were being greedy (ok slightly), but went for an Indian last Feb and the service was carp, the meals were as bad, and I ended up with food poisoning thou we couldn't determine where from......... but I gave it an awful rating on Bview.... just b4 xmas, the boss had adopted the restaurant as his own, and offered me a free meal, so eventually got round to taking him up on it, he told us to have what we wanted. (we did)
Popaddums
2 starters (one was prawn dish)
2 mains (one was king prawn)
2 namm breads
chips
rice
bottle wine
2 drinks each
2 liquer coffees
4 x baileys (gave us free)
So bar being stuffed, the service was exceptional, food was 10/10 so will write a bview report.
so funny my friend had gone to the loo and the next thing I hear this banging - the whole restaurant heard it..... I thought she'd got stuck in the loo...... turned out to be one of the waiters had gone into their room and the door shut and jammed on him....
dad did the school run, and my friend she got sunglasses on, she said once she'd hit the fresh air it had gone to her head!!
Paid another £70 off my debts......
The plan of action for March/april/May
March/apr/May - clear Capital One - minimum payments other cards, barclaycard, aqua, Evans, halifax one
May - 9.9% ends on aqua - est balance of £1,400 - reverts back to 39.9%, so ring Cap 1 for an increase (only £600) if they say no balance transfer as much as I can to them, as much to barclaycard - rough est owe £300 on aqua
June/july/aug - pay Aqua - minimum to others
sept - do new snowball with remaining figures, on life of balance with halifax at 5.9% - put the mimimum payment of £150 for cards, obviuosly any extra chuck at the one with highest interest.
Pain as I only do casual work and on Income support, literally impossible to get any descent deals, lowest apr I got is 25% on Barclaycard and 29% cap 1, Evans 19%, thats a miracle,
Don't want to snowball now, dread the date, as my personal aim is Nov 2015 when my loan finishes, but going great guns at mo with repayments xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
You're doing great with the repayments.Have you stopped spending on the cards?(that's the hardest bit)
I've jsut stopped using the CC that I pay in full every month and it feels like my right arm has been cut off..lol..I'm just using my debit card so that if I haven't any money then I can't have it.
Glad you enjoyed the meal and that you can give it a good review.0 -
I'm trying with the cards, spent £400 on bcard since Jan, not gd, but glasses on there, £175, phone £50, madam had growth spurt, so needed new uniform, new clothes, (raided Ethel Austin, store 21 and peacocks) so was plzed with the bargains, spent £60 on stuff to finish off next xmas - the emergency presents and few more bargains from half cost, been gd and now just clear their emails without looking.
In one way it was money that could of done with not spending, it was a need spend, once its done its too late, but in a way compared to 2 yrs ago, wouldn't of known where the money went.
Got into the habit now leaving cards at home, and being really frugral with what I buy or not buy, where before when we went to Home Bargains at Telford (on retail park), would just fill the trolley up, now we have one in town, the disadvantage middle level of shopping centre, my last 4 visits there basket only and cash payments under £10.
Bar B-card the last 2 months my statments show no purchases, which is a miracle for me.
From thestart of Feb, ended up having to go into town about 6 times, where aiming only to go once a month, so left the cards at home, have me to do list, if I go into town, take dad so that stops me shopping as he moans, got his uses.
I feel like a part of me is missing without the cards, but have to be cruel to be kind.
It feels so good paying £1670 off since 1st Jan, really skinted myself, but then on the other side of the coin I've got the Open Uni work to do, so don't really miss the spending, and as long as dd gets not everything, but doesn't miss out, thats all thats matters.
Did some crafting with her, helped her to start knitting a scarf for her big dalamation, made some stuff up from kits she had for xmas, and still been to cinema (£1 shows), but very mse took drink + sweets in. She has ballet, tap, swimming lessons and goes to a church club, she has a better social life than me, as long as she's sorted I'm happy.
Heres to MArch being a tight month(in the nicest of ways), as the above plan need to stick to, as a lot of the credit card debt is interest, but thats where they've got you.
The plan is each little baby step turns into a stride - so thats how thinking of the debt xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
To finish off next xmas? Gosh i thought i was good. Tell me waht you got?x0

That's great news that you've knocked using the cards on the head. You'll really see the debt tumble. You have done fantastic with your payments..well done. You'll be debt free before you know it.
Your DD is a very lucky girl. She has loads of stuff to do and always has lots of stuff.Bet she enjoyed doing crafting with you as she loved doing painting with JJ.0
