Dont worry I wont only taking £500 to spend for 2 weeks (staying with rellies) so wont spend more than £300 on merch to bring back! I generally hit the discount shops & cheaper stores like old navy!Don't do a Coleen Rooney and get stopped bringing too much back :eek:, mind the allowance has doubled since then. :T:j
Double Duty-Free Allowance for Travellers Returning to the UK
December 7, 2008: Travellers can now bring back more than double the amount of gifts and souvenirs from outside the EU without paying UK duty. From 1st December, the tax and duty-free allowance increased from £145 to £300, with a further increase to £340 in January to take account of recent changes in the sterling/euro exchange rate.

            I have my old favourites plus a few things I buy in the sales. Also I take things that maybe don't fit any more (lost a few pounds last year) and leave them for the maid to take - I usually go to Tunisia or Turkey and they get paid a pittance so I like to leave a few clothes as well as unused toiletries ...0

I have been doing this with the toiletries for a few years now, whats the point of cbring them home again ?TOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 - 
            If you're going to Thailand take as little as possible. You'll find really cheap stuff over there and come back with a full suitcase!
