New clothes for holidays?

I usually get new tshirts and shoes for holidays, other things do from year to year.
Hubby on otherhand usually just puts his hand in wardrobe and packs whatever he has unless I have bought him a few things.
Just wondered what others do ? New or make do ?

I like to buy some new clothes for hols...makes it feel more special.
I don't buy many clothes at other time though so not too bad.0 -
We normally pack what we have and in my case what are getting past their best and then buy buy buy in the US. :j:j then throw away most of what we took over for the space coming back. (if there is a goodwill store near where we are staying we will donate it there)
We hardly ever buy anything over here.Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0 -

Hi there, I usually buy a load of vest tops from Primark (1quid each) that I just throw in the bin once worn on holiday, makes room in the case for coming back with all your duty free! I do, however have shorts, etc that I use every year but like to buy new shoes, linen trousers, etc0

I buy 'essentials', anything that we haven't got, such as vest-tops, shorts etc.. and the kids nearly always need new 'essentials' but I try and get them as cheaply as possible from Primark. I don't see the point in spending loads of money.Start Date: 27/11/2010
Padding: Day 42
Target £8000
Amount: £562.230 -
a bit of both for me and OH..
With children it's a different story with them blinking growing and all
I only tend to buy when they grow out of stuff, this year my skinny son is still wearing shorts age 7-8 although he's 12!!!! They were really long and now just below his knee, take a few years before 'hot pants':rotfl:
I tend to wear older underwear and not bring them home, we all killed a few flipflops last year too. I also tend to have some old t-shirts for around the pool and then they get left too.0
