, i wouldnt mind a pool. Can someone tell me if the costco one is of a similar style to the nurseryandtoys one, which is a bit cheaper? Though doesnt appear to come with a heater. Obvioulsy id prefer the one of highest quality, just a bit fuddled as to which one to get. Pity costco dont have a pic of their products on their site.
Thanks,
Sal :j
The Costco one is a Frame Pool which in my opinion is much better.
The one in the link is an 'Easy-Set Pool' which really sags and bulges out when filled with the water! So the depth isn't maintained if you get my drift.

This is like the Costco one except it also has a heater attatched but doesn't have a ground sheet as in the picture. It does come with a solar cover and ladder as mentioned earlier.
Hope this helps

What's the deal?
A great spot to keep the kids entertained this summer if you're a business owner. This 15ft pool is available in Costco stores for £187 and comes with a pump, a heater and a solar cover. Costco says it's likely to have stock in until July/August though this email now goes out to over half a million people so if you really want one it's worth grabbing one quick
What do I need to do?

In many cases you don't need to be a " business owner". Memberships are also available to " individuals who are members of selected employment groups".
This can be because your work has an arrangement - eg councils, police larger companies and also to people with professional qualifications/ memebers of professional bodies etc0 -

I have found a great web site with some huge bargains esp on garden swimming pools- too numerous to list, with massive discounts. They also have lots of other deals on exercise bikes, bouncy castles, things for the gym, garden furniture etc. They have violins starting from £19 also and an electric cello for around £250 reduced from £699. They have hammocks for incredibly low prices and a basketball stand for £19- lots of other items also, all incredibly cheap. The site is https://www.******.com. Postage is payable individually on all items ordered which does increase the price so watch out for that.
blimey, sounds like a sales pitch to me! :rotfl:
As for the other comments, many thanks they were a great help. :T0 -
Costco also sells a chlorinator machine and a fully automated pool cleaner, which keeps the water crystal clear.
Some prices:
10' x 30" swimming pool 26.99+vat
Pool heater 3KW 29.99+vat
Automatic pool cleaner (2000 gal/hour) 26.99+vat
Not sure on the chlorinator0 -
if we used chlorine in our pool can you empty the water on the garden or does it have to go down a drain. We had a 12ft pop up pool last year which was massive, took hours to fill and the kids used only used it a few times because the water went green. We kept the cover on because we thought that would keep it clean but we had to change the water after 2 weeks. Any tips from anyone on how to improve things this summer? Also where would be buy a pool cleaning and testing kit from? thanks0

I used to empty mine on the lawn, didn't do any harm.0

Costco aren't fussy.
They let me join because I was an AA member. They're usually happy to get the membership money.
Cheers

I went to my local garden centre, as they have a swimming pool and spa section.
We have a 15ft easy set pool and filled it just the once last year. We had a floating chlorinator, cost around £30. It is plastic and shaped like a large nail and floats on top of the water. Inside it are chlorine tablets and they are slow release. It lasted around 6 weeks, so we used two all summer. We also had a gallon of chlorine and used to "shock it", ie pour 1pint of it neat in once a week, to kill all known germs dead, as they say
Would love a heater, but thinking about either a 6 or 9kw, but the running costs are really putting me off. Also, with the larger ones they have to run straight into the fuse box, so installation costs are hundreds of pounds.
Did love it though, and my son was very popular in the neighbourhood to play with.:hello:0 -

Thats exactly the point I was trying to make. Official insert and Weekly email stated that it was for business owners only.
It isn't hard to get a Costco membership.0 -
You can shoot me down if you wish, and there is no way I recommend you do this yourselves, but my BIL used to add a cup of thin bleach in his pool every few days.....mind you he is tight!0
