Thanks - just seems I try to do something to improve things and wreck it with something soooo simple, duh!

Don't worry, my first few jobs I thought I would never get the hang of it :D

Are you kidding!? This is RE we're talking about. If in any way they can wrangle their way out of paying you - they will!

Thanks. Didn't think they would. :(

My fault - I had a really awful day that day... I had 3 shops and had to go back to each one of them!

1 - forgot receipt and roasted date
2 - forgot photo and left and right shops
3 - forgot recipt and had to go back and ask for one.

So I had to retrace my steps all through London and go back to shop number 2, before returning to the first store. All in one big circle walking a few miles in the process!

At least it was good exercise and I should have been focusing more. :o
Slowly working towards earning enough money (through various ventures) to live unworriedly, treat my family and sleep under a lovely roof. x

Sorry about this - bit of a newbie just looking for some help! I did a chicken shop for Gap and they want the store no off the receipt? Can see about a zillion numbers and not a clue which one to put.
Thanks v much in advance - ps, very helpful forum this - been scanning it quite a lot!

Hi, I just found this nifty website which resize photos quickly. Saves faffing about with Paint Tools and all that. It's shrinkpictures.com

Used it for GAP receipts a lot in the past until I wise up to the fact I could lower the image resolution on my camera :rotfl:

Thanks everyone for helping out in my hour of need there!!! Gap said that if I email them the correct pic they will sort it out - very nice of them! Also, I have used your tips and can now shrink pictures. I'm learning!

Just noticing something else though - lots of people Grrrrrowling (am I supposed to be asking these questions somewhere else?) Look at me barging in with no MSer etiquette whatsoever!!

Anyway, thanks and sorry if i've ruined your thread or whatever it is called, hehe!:p

Don't worry sparkly...they aren't having a go at you...it's people posting on the alerts thread for a chat rather than an alert that folks are getting cross about.

    My thoughts exactly.

What is the point in chatting to say "don't chat" !!!!!!?! I really don't need alerts saying that, esp as it's already been discussed in this chat thread.

    DOH!

People can make mistakes especially if new. If it annoys you that much, dont answer! I know repeated questions must be annoying to people who have been on here a while but we don't all have time to memorise all the information on the 1st page and we don't all have time to check this forum every 5 minutes. Some seem to think the only acceptable comments are ones that invole moaning! No forum is ever going to be tailored around every individual so in the meantime, lets be nice to each other!

You, and a few others, have totally misread/misunderstood my post - i was referring to the alerts thread and said us much in my post, and the post i quoted!

I think they are talking about the alerts thread and the title of the thread states alerts only - read the OP. The reason it is annoying is that you get an email alert and then check the forum, specifically for an alert. If you are doing this at work etc... it can be annoying.

Perhaps someone should change OP to "the first post" or "opening post" as new people may not know what the OP is.

You haven't upset anyone at all, sparkly, mine and another poster's comments were aimed at the alerts only thread because people keep posting on it, and someone even posted to say stop posting, each time someone gets an alert thinking it's a job available, so can get a tad annoying. Wasn't about you, so i'm sorry if you thought so, don't panic ;)
