    Sorry about this - bit of a newbie just looking for some help! I did a chicken shop for Gap and they want the store no off the receipt? Can see about a zillion numbers and not a clue which one to put.
    Thanks v much in advance - ps, very helpful forum this - been scanning it quite a lot!

    I think if you look at their training/briefing it has a pic of receipt highlighting the relevant numbers you need? If not, generally the store numbers I have come accross are next to the store location? HTH

    Have you got MS Picture Manager?

    Open the image in there, click "edit pictures" then click "compress" and then select document size and hit ok. That should make it small enough for Gap etc.
    Here I go again on my own....

    Hi. If you save the image to your desktop and then right click on the image and open in Paint, go into Tools and select Attributes, then change the pixels size to 2100 x whatever the other one is - you only need to change it by 1 i.e. if it is 1803 change to 1802 and click save, your image size should be alot smaller.

    Hope this helps

    Resize it.

    I'm assuming you'rre on windows, if so...

    Save your picture somewhere, My Documents for instance.

    Go to:

    Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Paint

    Then within Paint, go to: file -> open
    Browse to where you saved your picture, select it, and click open.

    Now you'll see your picture on the screen, yes?

    In Paint still, do:
    Edit -> Select All
    Image -> Stretch/Skew

    Now, the top half of the little box that pops up is what we're bothered about, the "stretch" bit.
    Type "80" in both boxes.
    OK

    File
    Save As
    Save it as a slightly different filename (just incase you mess this up!) call it something like "receipt_resized.jpg".

    Thanks so much - it went but I changed the wrong picture and now have submitted the wrong receipt. I'm getting really upset with this now - not good at all this stuff. I heard somewhere NEVER to ring Gap? What shall I do?

    First, take a deeeeeeep breath and don't get upset. You could try e-mailing them. I did a couple of days ago and they came back within the hour.

    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, alerts thread!!!!!!! :rolleyes:

    My thoughts exactly.

    What is the point in chatting to say "don't chat" !!!!!!?! I really don't need alerts saying that, esp as it's already been discussed in this chat thread.

    DOH! :rolleyes:
