  • Hi, I think it may have been mentioned earlier but is it correct that if you do a shop for RE then you don't see that shop available again? Its just that over the last few days I've seen a few on the alerts which I've been to in the past but cannot see them to book them

It's possible. I did a shop with them and then had a call last week asking me to do it again at short notice, I hadn't even seen it on the site otherwise I would have done it again.
  • Thanks Lil_Me - hope its only for a set time though as there isn't much i can apply for near me

Its not like that with all their clients, I've done some places multiple times, some only a couple of months apart so chin up.
Couldn't think of anything witty to say so just keeping the space until I can :(

I have been reading through the thread (not quite managed it all yet) it seems very hit and miss, i was thinking of doing this but is it more trouble than its worth? :money:
Hi Saver, welcome to the forum. Yes, its a totally crap job, pathetic pay, in fact you often end up out of pocket, you get nothing but grief from most of the companies and if you dont get it exactly how they like it - they will sack you.
However, it does have its bright side, and that is....
You can come here every evening, moan and groan with the rest of us and become part of the MS community of really lovely exploited people. We are a very friendly helpful bunch and after a week or two you will be totally hooked on us!!
    Happy days

I'm wondering why a round pizza comes in a square box -
  • Just back from a non MS meal and I am so glad I dont have to now write up the report on it.
The service was terrible, waitress had bitten nails with black nail varnish flaking off.
Waited 10 minutes for the drinks, meal cold on arrival, air con on full blast and you needed a thermal vest and fur coat.
Complained and got free desserts and round of drinks on the house.
OH has now declared tomorrow as "Eating at Home Day" so that we can all have a decent meal with some good service.
Fast food and restaurants are a big NO NO for the rest of the week.

Hi Minnie - welcome to the forum.
A lot of us have the same trouble. But there are MS assignments in most towns, its just a question of setting your search peramiters correctly so that you see the jobs near to you. There are phone jobs so you dont even need to leave the house for them. I am sure that there must be fast food chains near you wherever you live, there is a company that have many FF chains as clients.
Register with the companies listed on page one of the forum, Im sure you will pick up something local to you.
