AFAIK If you need to assess the food (product) as part of the MS shop then it is part of your expenses and therefore tax deductable e.g. was the pizza edible. If the food is not assessed but you need to make a purchase as part of the assessment (customer service at the tills) then it is also an expense so is tax deductable (because you cannot assess the service without making a purchase). However HMRC do say if you get to keep the product then it is "payment in kind" and should be included as part of the fee.
I'm sure our resident tax expert will be along soon to give us all a better answer. Or if anyone is going to a free course on tax matters they may ask this question and get the info added to the first pageI'm wondering why a round pizza comes in a square box - :rolleyes:0 -
Hi can anyone tell me how long Bare take to pay their mystery shoppers? I ticked the paypal option and did a job for them 6 weeks ago but haven't been paid yet. Has anyone had any problems with BARE?0

AFAIK, BARE don't pay by Paypal, you'll need to fill in your bank details in your "extended shopper profile", I think you'll have JUST missed the cutoff for this month though.0 -
I'm also having problems with unvetted surveys for edigital. I have one which was completed on 3rd Sept which hasn't been looked at yet and sent an email a few days ago but haven't heard anything back.
I had probs with payment last month and had to chase that as there was a "technical error" too.
Strangely though, I had a survey returned to me at 4 this morning0 -

For there regular shoppers they issued a programme at the start of the year showing cut off dates for claims, normally around 20th and then payment is in your account on 9th. I've done work for them for over 4 years and find them good. Their new online job board is a bit of a nightmare though. On occasions you apply for several jobs in a couple of areas and they issue one job in each area, not good or sensible as they do not pay mileage, and they have reduced fees.
Will get it updated. Wonder why it takes so long for the transaction to go through tho? Normally 4 working days for banking transactions? Is it coming from abroad or something? I'll just put paid by BACS into your account arriving around the 9th of the month.0 -

You can't check completed assignments, per se, though you can check assignments that have been paid.
Log in, my profile, payment history, choose a payment date.0 -
