    Do you have your contract handy? Is quite standard employment contract procedure to have a clause stating your current employer must be consulted prior to you taking on an additional job. This is not only for security reasons i.e. conflict of interests but also to prevent people taking on too much i.e. working all night somewhere else then thinking you can put in a full days work for them without any sleep in-between. I know these are specific examples but you should check your contract, you may find you should have already told them.
    PM me if you need more information and dont want to post on an open forum.

    Thanks for this, I'm all clear on the contract side of things. So it's mainly the moral side and I suppose the legal side of effectively lying on the app form if I don't include it.

    In that case you should put it on your application.
    We had a discussion on here a while back if it was a good idea to put MSing on a CV. Most people seemed to think that it shows a good range of skills which any employer would see as an asset in an employee and as GemzyKate said its also a good talking point :D
    Couldn't think of anything witty to say so just keeping the space until I can :(

  • Urgh...haven't had any RE queries before and this week I get two on the same report!! :eek:

    One was because I didn't realise that my scanner takes it upon itself to crop images wherever it fancies, so had to resend the receipt and then another to clarify a point on my report. Both valid queries to be fair and they have been very nice about it, but it still sucks. The actual visit was fab though! Nevermind, still learning I suppose! :rotfl:

    Me too, I don't know whether to just do an invoice with what I've got or to wait for another day!! :confused:

    AAAARRRRRGGGGGGGG!!!!!

    After a week of wondering where all the RE jobs were I've just noticed that my filters were set to fast food and retail only. No wonder I could only ever see sandwiches!!

    :wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:
  • I was obliged to tell my employer. He was very comfortable with it, even said that if I ever do a betting shop to let him know and he'd pick me a winning horse from his years of experienced gambling and we can go 50/50 on the profit. :rolleyes:
  • Right i've got my first car job on Sunday.

    I have to go in & pretend to want a brand spanker of a new car. But the car I have to enquire about is a totally different make than that of the dealership

    Surely this screams I'm a MS doesn't it??

    ie - if I knew I wanted to buy a vaxhall vectra I would go to a vauxhall garage surely & not a fiat garage.... these are not the makes involved btw
