I already know what CHG stands for, was just wondering how others find working for them.
Edit: Sorry, my bad...being thick today :embarasse ! Thanks blindman, that's really helpful. Think I will steer clear for the time being, still a bit too much of a newbie for that sort of thing!:o0 -

And me, I messaged them on Monday and got one back saying that they will get it sorted as it only needs to be vetted. Of course, they still haven't done it! :mad:0 -
Quick fire opinions needed.
I'm applying for a new job at work within my current team but as such I haven't officially told them that I'm self employed and doing MS and auditing. Now I think that this would actually help my application in terms of the experience gained but I'm not sure how my employer would feel about me working outside of my full time job.
So has anyone got any experience of working full time and telling their employer about their "hobby" and how they reacted? Also if you were in my position would you put it on the application? I suppose another side is could I be disciplined if I lied on the application form and didn't put down that I'm self employed?
Thanks for any help!0 -

Do you have your contract handy? Is quite standard employment contract procedure to have a clause stating your current employer must be consulted prior to you taking on an additional job. This is not only for security reasons i.e. conflict of interests but also to prevent people taking on too much i.e. working all night somewhere else then thinking you can put in a full days work for them without any sleep in-between. I know these are specific examples but you should check your contract, you may find you should have already told them.
PM me if you need more information and dont want to post on an open forum.

I sat in the waiting room of the dealers for over 30 mins and I can't tell you the amount of times I nearly got up and left
:eek::eek: THIRTY MINUTES?! :eek::eek:
I would've stood up after tten, given them what for, waited another five and then left.
I once had to do just this:
"I'm here to buy a car, I have cash ready, I've already test driven it. If you'd like to sell me a car today, I'll be over there for five minutes, otherwise I'm going elsewhere".

Well, I told my employer and he found it quite amusing that there is even such a job! He is more intrigued than anything else, as most people are if you tell them.
It really depends whether your company has put anything to do with moonlighting in your contract. I think personally I would tell them as it has to count towards something! Just make sure they realise that it's more of a hobby than a job, and that it won't interfere with your full time work.

Edit: Ooops looks like Mharzuk beat me too it...I take too long!! lol0
