  • Perhaps they have changed since my sacking. Is there not an option at the begining of the report to say you did not get a receipt as required to?

can't do that. Not an option on the report. Sending them a blank jpeg.

The report is "closed" before you send the receipt, when I didn't get a business card I still got an email saying thanks for your results and I still haven't submitted anything to them. Haven't heard anything back from them and that was last Thursday.

Meh, can I have a quick rant about RE please?

Just had a snottyish email from them about a proof reading query on a job I did almost 2 weeks ago. It was proof read within 2 days, but they stuck a 'query' note on my account - blank. So I emailed asking what information they needed because I had my OH up for the week and had set my self as not avaliable from last Wednesday to tomorrow. They didnt reply before my 'holiday' dates began and I've barely been online for the last week. Opened my 'ms' email account to find no response to my asking what they wanted but four emails with increasing levels of 'snot' requesting I get the information to them as a matter of urgency!

They knew/know I am set as on holiday until tomorrow, and I find the tone of the email quite unpleasant, very very tempted to respond in the same tone but despite them not being great for most jobs I like the phone jobs so don't want to get fired (yet).

hmmm would it be unreasonable to ignore the emails until Thursday....or should I just resend the info (as was actually stated in the report) to get them off my back, not that it matters hugely I guess, its missed the payment cut off for the 10th now.

Mumof2 it may be worth emailing Bare if you reapply and ask if they could split a circuit for you so that you do a smaller one. I did 10 on my first and 12 on my second. Some are quite quick but some take a long long while .... !

Definitely contact them, they were great when I needed help recently with my circuit. It's quite hard work tho if you really haggle.

Thanks for that - I've just sent an email to the chap who informed me of the jobs so we'll have to wait and see.

    Hi Scubangel,
I had something similiar the other week & I couldn't work out wha, the the problem was, the messaging didn't make clear how ?:mad::mad::mad:you could contact them, I started to ring them, but it was always on answerphone, really frustrated I finally rang the contact on the job brief, explained my predicament & she put me straight thro to the proof readers, well did they give me a hard time? yes & eventually she offered to send me an email,it didn't help I had a hard day @ work & ds was also playing up.:eek::eek::eek:
Eventually email arrived explained what I had to do without a voice grating on my nerves.
    :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T
I'm sure it'll sort itself out, but last year when I returned from holidays there was a few cheeky call asking me to contact them mega urgently, I did & asked do they not
check if ur not available & she said they don't :eek::eek:
For the life of me I can't understand why they don't check this & that would explain any possible delays

I've had query notes before, usually they have in it what the query is before they email you to ask for the extra info so you can have it ready for the email or phone them to let the account manager know - this one didnt, so I emailed the am and got no response.

As for them not checking to see if you are avaliable thats the point of them giving you the option of letting them know if youre around or not, bloomin stupid system if you ask me, if I didnt bother to check my staff;s avaliability calendars I'd soon be fired (and I only have to deal with them one day a week).

Sod em, they can have the info on Thursday and like it.

I can't upload a reciept I don't have, so how do I finish expressing the assignment?

I have had trouble with my burger receipts before and could express the report OK.

You could send Gap an email from their Enquiry page saying you can't express the assignment because the delivery man did not give you a receipt. They will be able to pull the assignment through. The pizza plc should really give you one especially since it is a delivery so I would say a point off them.

Ugh i'm wishing I never took this job. First RE job, a bar/club chain that is a striped large cat.... It was originally for last Friday when I was going to be in town anyway so that was ok but they changed it last minute to this Friday, which is annoying as I live 40 mins away from Glasgow so i'm going to have to go in specially to do it and money is tight this month so WARGH. I said i'd do it and confirmed it so more fool me. Ho hum. How much does it cost to get in does anyone know?
