Lol, the same happened to me Redfox! Although on a brighter note, I did get back in time to get one of the wine tasting jobs. Lush!
Well done. Oh I wish I had got one of those jobs or the kitchen shop ones:(

    Hi all

I was lucky enough to get a bank job and a catalogue store job for the next week. I was wondering if abai normally specify whether you can take babies on assignments with you. Or should I assume if it wasn't mentioned, it should be ok?
  • Yes, I was hoping for a kitchen shop but nothing less than 40 miles away which was poo as I work during the week so couldn't get there. Nevermind, can't win them all!

I have took my wee one on a catalogue store and it was fine, as long as you get all the details and timings and not distracted you will be ok.x

That's great, thanks! Hopefully he'll sleep through the whole thing :)

Also just found out that I have been accepted for my first ESA assignment, a photo taking one, which will be fun.

Also another stupid question about aba-i and payment. How do I know whether they are planning to send vouchers or cash for any particular job? Was I meant to opt for a certain payment method on sign up?

I think they only send vouchers for one client. I've not seen any jobs for that client in the 5 or 6 months that I've been MSing.

It'll be cash, or if you do a number of jobs for them, they MAY send a cheque.

i agree, but at the risk of repeating myself, some companies are using the reports to discipline staff, take their bonus off them etc etc, there are 13 of us doing the job of 29 (approx) we dont get the breaks we should, and we work silly hours (sometimes 14 hrs), we have to do overtime and we have to work our days off, some are working 20 or more days without time off, so sometimes we just really want to go home or have a cup of tea and a break, ssee our families, so sometimes we might not be grinning ear to ear.

i understand you guys gotta do the job as per, but as you said if the rest of the service is good, and the staff maybe didnt greet you with a huge hug and kiss maybe we are kna***red, if we complain we are told there are people queuing up for our jobs and feel free to leave...

    just my version...

That sounds an awful place to work for, what they are doing is illegal and you could have them done for sacking you for not doing overtime. I think your beef is with your employer, you need to do your job properly just as we need to do ours.x

I completely understand where you're coming from Loopy Lass, as I used to work in retail and banking, and have been at the receiving end of a bad mystery shop.

However, what would you think if a mystery shopper was to lie on a report and it wasn't in your favour? Say if the mystery shopper completely overlooked the fact that you had gone out of your way to give great service or put that you didn't smile when you clearly did. I really think it works both ways.

The issue you have is definitely with your company and the appauling way that they treat you, not the MSers and I really think you should have a word with someone there if it's as bad as you say. Also, just out of interest, how does your company treat you if you get a really good mystery shop?
