Firstly, has anyone received their Abai payments in the post yet for work done beginning of August? Getting worried.....
Secondly, can anyone recommend a good mobile phone which gives you email alerts & internet, i.e one you use for MSing to get your jobs while you're out and about?
Thanks.
MG.

Me neither - I get most of the GrassRoots ones at Westfield shopping centre.Slowly working towards earning enough money (through various ventures) to live unworriedly, treat my family and sleep under a lovely roof. x0 -

If I am being paid 17p per mile from a company for mileage can I claim the allowed rate of 40p in my expenses for tax purposes?
Thanks!Berry Delight0 -
Hi
Thanks everyone for your replies regarding catalogue shop payments and mobile phones. The iphone seems quite expensive! Might just go for a blackberry.
I don't feel too worried about the payments now, hopefully they should arrive this week!0 -

Yep - 40p per mile as the expense, but you need to include the 17p per mile as income (or set it off against the 40p). I find it easier to include both and not the set off.Mortgage Free thanks to ill-health retirement0 -
I'm now doing lots of mystery shops and the report writing seems to be getting longer and longer!
Is there any software around where I can dictate straight into the report? My typing is rubbish!Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0 -

I doubt you'll find anything that will type straight into a report, but you can try software such as Dragon Naturally Speaking to type into Word and then copy and paste it? You're looking at £80 for the software though but it's popular with dyslexic students at university.
Edit - Actually it looks like Dragon naturally speaking will type into wherever the cursor is on the screen so could fill in your reports. As you can tell I've not used it before.0
