When giving staff descriptions, do you give skin colour?

I always have( talking years here...), seeing as it aides the description, but had an email over the weekend about a recent visit asking me not to use it as it is offensive! How is describing someone as black or white offensive???? If I just said black, it would make sense, but skin colour is a vital part of a description, so I always say black, white, asian etc to ensure it helps find the right member of staff.

    What do you all do?

I don't claim to represent others on this thread, but personally I make allowances.
If someone who has been on their feet all day, serving the public, doesn't give me a smile at 4pm and everything else is perfect then I report that they smiled.
So basically you lie? Your MS reports are totally worthless then

I also use the IC codes, never had any complaints (though I reckon RE proof readers are too dumb to understand what they mean!!

Yes TG - I'm totally with you on. I'm astounded that Bob lies on his reports, let alone admits it. Disgraceful IMO.

Got back from our hols today and have just booked in 2 jobs - 1 of which I have to go to a bank and say I have a large cheque to pay in - if only!!!!! This one is for Grass Roots; it's the first I've seen on there and from what I hear they're meant to be good to work for; let's hope they're tolerant with newbies

    Hi all

I would be grateful for some advice do TNS pay the whole of the fee shown for purchases or only what is spent. I know RE only pay what you spend but Gap pay you the amount even if you spend less.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, I lied from the moment I entered the shop.

On the client's instructions I gave a false name, false financial details and false marital details.
On the plus side I did get paid for telling those lies. Makes me a moral !!!!! I know but I guess I just have to live with that.

In the post you refer to I said,
"If someone who has been on their feet all day, serving the public, doesn't give me a smile at 4pm and everything else is perfect then I report that they smiled." No one paid me for telling that lie, I told it for free to help out a hard working teenager.

Absolute morality, it can be a real bummer at times don't you think?
  • HP this is still a friendly forum , a few people were offended, rightly so, at how they were being told who they should and should not work for . The comment you quote above refers to a personal comment against someone posting on here so I feel it is a little unfair referring to the person as a 'hard' person....

Not sure what the relevance of Timmne not posting is .... would that be so there are more people to 'gang up' on those who chose to do jobs for RE in this free country???? Yes I agree that Timmne not posting is a big shame I very much enjoyed his posts but as I say what has this forum got to do with the companies he likes to work for or not ?????????

I will defend 'annasbee' as I believe she is now on holiday but I do not recall reading that she mentioned your name and called you simple minded..... ?!!?? I stand to be put right .... but am quite sure I am correct. The comment was , as stated earlier in my post referring to personal comments made against the poster Karamel Rose.....

I have posted earlier in this thread about my reasons why I am happy to receive an almost free meal and sit here and do a questionaire about it after, its all personal choice and no one should be made to feel bad about doing so..... the boycotting of RE jobs buty such a small percentage of people is futile, IMHO....
