Or try ESA as they have funeral home visits. I am not sure whether to apply as I hate these gloomy places.

These are ok to do. Once you have `revealed yourself` it is quite different and you can relax . I have enjoyed every one I have done so far....go for it!

I'm 41 and I guess we're just not "with it" anymore! And to think I was told that the pub only allowed over 21's in on the weekend and that the barmaid could not serve me. It later transpired that she thought the two kids (aged around 10 and 8) next to me were mine. They were someone elses. I had a moment of pure glee. And it really did last just a very short moment.
I get really annoyed when I am told Im too old for a job (well they dont actually say that do they - they say you dont fit the criteria) The way I see it, if you are comfortable with doing a job then why should age matter. I am happy going into a trendy wine bar, dont see why, if you are over 35 you are not suitable for the visit. As for the Old Peoples Homes, whats wrong with a grandchild visiting to seek suitable accomodation for the grand parents, it happens all the time. As for eating well its total rubbish that someone over a certain age cant shop a specific place. I think Im right in believing that descrimination is now an offence.
I'm wondering why a round pizza comes in a square box -

Glad you've posted this, I have one next week and was dreading it. Mind you it may be appropriate at the moment as I'm feeling like death warmed up, lol.

I feel exactly the same way about being told I'm too young. I'm seeing more and more things that need you to be 25 that are totally bizarre. Things like the swedish furniture shop, car circuits and some restaurants. It's as though I'm not old enough to make big purchases??

I suppose the good thing (I think) is that I'm going to get older.

I got my first report back from TERN today. I was really pleased with my grade. I think that the constructive comments are really helpful and let you know how you can improve next time.
  • The funeral homes are okay. I was nervous during my initial visit but after I revealed who I was the girl made my a cuppa and we had a good old chat.
  • They can be a bit picky sometimes, glad you did well.
