a woman at work sells a lot of catalog seconds last season clothes, on ebay, a lot are just returned just because origanal catalog buyer decided they dont like them but are seconds because they have been removed from packageing and tried on, some have minor damage like loose button which she repairs, and some have been returned becuse they are marked in some way, a lot of thses she'll remove tags to wash and then keeps for herself she now has the most amazing wardrobe and im very jelouse of it, her family have worked in selling ex-catalouge ex-chain store clothes for years in small shops, market stalls etc so they have very good sources for obtaining seconds, wish i was as lucky, basically it can be done if you know where to get genuine quality goods

That's the thing, I wish I knew where to get hold of this kind of stuff!

  • Hello all
Newbie here, interested in saving and making money.
I've just checked the elesclothing Ts&Cs and noticed the statement:
"...These goods are sold on the condition that all chainstore and brand name labels and trademarks are removed before they are offered for sale, and that they will not be advertised...."

Presumably means you can't list as brand names in eBay either. Also by removing the labels you'd be devaluing the product in the eyes of the ebay buyer. Or are people just ignoring these terms?

    Cheers.

Found a few good companies on google, however after looking on ebay, clothing dosent seem to be selling for that much.
Would be interested to see a link to your ebay account where you are making £10 per item.

you can still take out the labels and people will buy them. in my home town there are a few shops and market stalls doing this. customers get the clothes cheap and who is to know the label has been cut out when you are wearing it?

these shops tend to damage the label enough to keep within the t&c but you can still see where it came from.

sellers on ebay usually say the items are seconds in the listing description otherwise you are opening yourself up to a load of problems.

it's pretty obvious to me if you are buying brand new high st dresses for £10 they have to be seconds.
  • lol, i have taken off my products now cos i was told they were fake. How are they allowed to sell me things that are fake when they have tolf me over live web chat that they are real and authentic? So i guess the new thread should be:

where can you find authentic, branded products for either cheap or wholesale in the uk?

I used to sell ex high street clothing on Ebay and did great for over two years. This stuff does sell, you are not supposed to use the brand name but you can get around it. Often the labels are just snipped so you can see which store it is from and the wash label is left intact.

Heres some really useful websites which I have used many times before.

    http://www.qclothing.co.uk/

You are suppose to be registerd as a business if you buy goods to sell on ebay.
