:bdaycake::beer: Happy birthday Pink have a good one;)

Bitsy, glad your dd is feeling better.

Having a lazy day today-listening to the cricket and watching OH get ready for their camping trip on Tuesday. He's taking the kids to Cornwall for 10 days. I'm looking forward to my own company but I know I shall get bored. I shall probably give the house a good clean and watch lots of dvds. I don't want to drive too far as I'm saving petrol and I don't want to go anywhere which involves spending money.

I'm looking forward to cooking myself a few treats but not too many rich or expensive things just things I don't normally make the for the family like a nice runny omelette with gruyere, salad and a glass of wine.

I've got some beef ragu simmering away in the oven to have with spaghetti tonight. I've made some individual plum/raspberry/banana crumbles for pud -to be precise that's plum and rasp for DS1 'cos he doesn't like bananas, plum and banana for DS2 'cos he doesn't like rasps and all threes fruits for me, DD and OH:rolleyes: I wish everyone liked everything.

  • Hi everyone

Not a very OS day today, we bought two guinea pigs for the kids this morning so they have been a bit excitable all day wanting to hold them and cuddle them. I have tried to keep it to a minimum as the poor little guinea pigs must be a bit scared being away from their mommy.

Just been to the park with the kids to get rid of as much energy as possible before bedtime and it was chocca, obviously loads of other energy filled kids due to the summer hols.

I've got some of that Mayflower curry sauce today from the freezer shop and it tastes exactly like the sauce that they use at my local chinese. It was only 39p for a large sachet so I just got it to on chips for a tasty snack but I think I will try making a proper curry with it. Not sure how to do egg fried rice though.....

Off now for a final hold of the guine apigs before bed :j

    Evening all

    Happy Birthday Pink:bdaycake:

It has been a lovely day here today, got loads of washing done after weekend paddling around muddy fields when we were away in the caravan!

DD has been quite poorly while we were away, not sure if it is swine flu or not but probably too late for her to get Tamiflu so I will just keep my eye on her. Everytime we have a weekend away, when we get back somehow or other she has broken something in the house. This time the dw has stopped working for some obscure reason, it was the laptop last time and the wm the time before that. I don't have a clue what she does wrong, you would think that she would be able to work things properly at 22 (23 on Tuesday!)

Anyway I am going to catch up with the threads now. Have a good evening all

SunnyGirl hope you are feeling better, not heard from you for a while

    Evening All

Had a day and a half of it today. My dog was up needing to go out all night, we found out come day light he has blood in his water and was also violently sick. Took him to the emergency vet and he either has an infection on his prostate, or, he has cancer:sad:_pale_ He's had cancer before when he was 6 or 7, but he's nearly 12 now. He's got to go for x-rays and blood tests tomorrow, so hoping it's only an infection. He's really not well. Sorry not OS at all, but needed to talk to someone.

OS wise, I had a stall at a garden party today for my cards and jewellery - I had to go for the vets bill - and I think I took £30 -£40. So I pleased with that.

Not eaten all day, but we're making an effort to eat dinner. Home cooked ham, HM white sauce and veg.

I have work all this week, which is great as the money is really drying up and it's getting very scary.

    Hope everyone's ok

    Evening peeps

well i`m bushed, i got home around 4pm and was out in the garden until 7pm. I was going to have a nap after cutting the grass but managed to stay out and do some much needed maintainance.

I`ve picked my last courgette which is more like a marrow really. My courgette plants have been very productive but they started early and have finished early as a result.

Some of the tomatoes are showing signs of ripening which is a relief and i`ve picked 3 large chillies off one of the other plants, i also have some green peppers which i hope are going to ripen too, i`ve been really struggling to get in the greenhouse as i planted mini cucumbers and they have scrambled absolutely everywhere so today has been spent cutting a few things back and taking some leaves off the toms to give me a bit of room. I`m glad to say that i can actually walk inside the gh now and water everything properly :D

I`ve just been reading back to see what i`ve missed, sorry to hear about poor Tilly Pink, hope that shes all well now.

Scuzz - I hope that your poor doggie only has an infection and that he gets better really quickly, ((((HUGS)))) for both of you.

Well all quiet here as DH has taken the houndies fishing, they will all be back home tomorrow so there is only my little black cat to keep me company. I shall have a quick browse and the sort out the kitchen - shower and bed as i`m up early in the morning.

Hope that all the poorlies are better soon, oh Redruby i almost forgot, great news about the house :D

Catch you all tomorrow guys, have a good nights sleep everyone.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

another day off tomorrow:j hope this cold gets better - mainly my sinus's that are blocked now.

    see you all tomorrow x
