She needs to recover from cancer for a long time before she even considers work.It may also be harder to find work within certain organisations as i know most animal rights protesters are on the blacklist database with MI5 even if they are 'minimal activity' campaigners and that comes from a friend in MI5.

Each case on such grounds would be decided individually, considering the facts. There is no "blanket". People who make decisions re benefit deal with this sort of situation every day. They know the difference between an "excuse" and a "valid reason", and should be able to spot the difference between a person who is using benefits as a lifestyle choice and a person who is genuine and using them for the purpose they were intended.

Therefore I do not think your sister has any cause for concern, unless of course she began to have a moral objection to each and every job that was available to her.

The relevant guidance for Decision Makers is here: http://www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/vol04.pdf

Volume 4, begin at paragraph 21451

You may not agree with my opinion. but i still hold it. beggars cannot be choosers. and i dont care if religious sensativity is offended either. if you are qualified for the position, and claiming benefits. you apply, and do your best at interview, or walk away from the money.

this country is struggling, and swamped with benefit cheats/scroungers and layabouts.
