Glad you got it sorted, and hope she gets a good telling off from her manager so she realises that it's never acceptable to treat a customer like this. I'd go back in and take photos of things in front of her face just to wind her up.D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't importantTaste The Rainbow :heartsmil0

As far as I am aware, unless signs specifically state "No photo's" of price tags advertisements or products within Tesco's. There is NO such copyright infringement. I suspect the staff member was narked at being caught short on the price, I would have demanded they arrest me for it there and then, and proceeded to photograph other random price tags and barcodes, BLATANTLY.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

No suprise with Tesco's - my experience with customer service in both the stores and the 'Tesco Direct' have been pretty awful - we once ordered a kettle from them - it arrived 2 weeks late - by that time, we were away, so the delivery driver decided to just (literally!) throw it over the garden wall at the back and leave it there (no note or anything). When we got back a week later and found it, the packaging was wet and the kettle dented! When we rang to complain we were told that they didn't have a complaints department,so we couldn't make a complaint - they suggest we return it and they would then refund or replace - no apologies, total disinterest!
I also hate the fact that they seem to somehow be able to take whole areas over with multiple large stores. I live in a medium sized town and there are 3 Large stores already, with 2 more in planning and at least 2 more smaller stores. They have been awarded Compulsory Purchase Orders to buy small local, independent shops in order to replace them with one of their huge stores (just down the road from another tesco mega-store). They just seem to be taking over everywhere!0 -

To be fair, taking photographs on private property (which is what Tesco basically is) is illegal.
You must get permission of the owner.
In public you can snap away to your hearts content.0 -

Sorry this is not accurate.
You could not get arrested for taking photographs on private ground. It is not a Criminal Act, and thus not illegal. They might have grounds to sue you under Civil Law however, but that does not make it 'illegal'.0 -

Without splitting hairs.
Maybe not Illegal, but Tesco are well within their rights to tell you to stop taking photographs and throw you out.
Which was the point I was making.0 -

Sorry this is also not accurate.
Tesco would be well within theri rights to ASK you to stop taking photographs - they could only enforce this via the courts.
They could also ASK you to leave, but cannot 'throw you out', trespass is also a issue for Civil Law.
In short they can ask you to leave and stop taking photographs and you are within your rights to say no.0
