Infringing copyright by photographing a price label???? Ha haha hahahaha; that's the funniest thing I've heard all day!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Bless. I might try photographing some labels in my local Mr T's, I've always had a secret desire to be kicked out of a supermarket....

  • i might be wrong, but afaik the copyright of the photograph is yours since you took it. telling you to delete it could be infringing your rights (dunno about copyright).

most of these people in shops just seem to like picking on people, my mum seems to be a prime target for them, never happens when im there...

What amazes me is why anyone in their right mind would actually shop at Tesco.

Each time I go in there (and it's not often), something winds me up. It's either staff barging me out of the way, the queues, the self service till that doesn't work, the difficult old bats on the cigarette till announcing that they only have to put through 3-items (it's my LUNCH !!!!!!, a sandwich, a packet of crisps, a drink, and some chewing gum. Why put all the stuff right next to the counter then!!). The latest was no bags when I did the tea-break run.

As said, EACH TIME I go into the place there's something that happens that winds me up.

This doesn't happen in Sainsburys, Morrisons, or the Co-Op. So why is it ALWAYS Tesco where this happens?

My Nokia E71 also does barcode scanning, but NOT the barcodes you see on shelves. The barcodes that mobile phones are purely designed to scan are like a small square filled with dots. Unlike normal barcodes, these can contain product info, web links etc. This type of camera-readable barcode is used by a lot of parcel companies as it can contain all the address info that a standard barcode can't.

Thats a terrible way to be treated, I like you would of been gob-smacked, Defo make a complaint, now taking a picture is good as a post b4 states they can change them. I once actually took one of the tickets to the customer service desk and I got a telling off, I was ragin but then I understood that they need a price on the item, albeit it was the wrong price!!!

I wrote a long complaint that was sent to their customer service department.

I really was shocked with the behaviour I received. A customer service refresher course is certainly required for her:exclamati

I will update the thread once i receive a reply.

Do you mean a QR Code? Mmmmmm..... not really the only type Mobiles can scan, or 'purely' as you put it... take the HTC Dream scanner application for example...

Just to let you all know that I today received a reply form Tesco's customer services.

    They basically couldn't apologise enough.

They have contacted the Store Manager who is apparently very concerned by the poor service I received in his store and he also apologise's for this.

To say sorry for my poor service they have today sent me out a letter and a £20.00 Tesco Moneycard with Tesco's best wishes.

Not a bad result, I hope she is dealt with efficiently, maybe a customer service refresher course.
