Thinking about it, whilst in tesco I used my mobile, the Nokia N97, to price check an item on mysupermarket.co.uk.
.
So THATS what the Barcode Scanner on me phone is for ! I did wonder, I'd been taking random pics of barcodes, and going.. ok now what ?
Sorry, Off topic, But thanks!0 -

Just shows the high level of attention and detail all of Tesco's staff use while making the price tags...The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

I heard stories on here where assistants have removed or changed price tags when queried so probably good that you took a photo.:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0

the staff dont make the tickets as such, the tickets are printed off from the system and the staff separate the tickets into individual ones, yes they should checked the offer posted by bowling 4 gold0 -
Dannodw, you are right to complain, there is no rule in Tesco about taking a photo. It would be very different if you were walking about with a camera casing the joint, but to take a photo of a label is nothing. If you don't get anywhere with Dundee customer services, you should write to Terry Leahy.0

This product is part of an offer with loads of different 500ml drinks. It can be mix and matched with Coke 500ml(for example) which is 98p meaning you can make a saving, albeit a small one if you chose to do it this way.0 -
Welcome to barmy Britain. Only peadophiles and terrorists take photos these days and it will soon be a crime to even own a device taking pictures.....
After a patient wait, the customer service operator approached another lady who was talking to another member of staff. She was from the entertainment department. After a short conversation the entertainment staff member came over to me.
She then immediately, in a sharp tone, asked if I had taken a photo of the price tag of the item I had been overcharged for. I confirmed that I had. She then asked me to delete it immediately, as I was infringing some sort of copyright by taking the photo. I was told not to do it again. The entertainment member of staff then left. She made no effort to confirm the pricing error, she simply told the other staff member to refund me the difference and left.
At this point I was in shock. The tone the entertainment staff member talked to me in was totally uncalled for. It was very aggressive. Even the lady I was dealing with on the customer service desk looked at me with a shocked expression on her face.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Tescos make these pricing errors frequently, they take great pleasure in plublishing them on https://www.bitterwallet.com
OP I would suggest you email the CEO of Tescos, his email address is widely available on the internet. They will look into your complaint and inform the manager of the relevant store, hopefully this will result in some extra training for the person you dealt with. You normally receive a reply from the CEO or his office0
