hi, can i join please?! i was declared bankrupt at 9.38 this morning in welshpool county court. i have got my OR phone interview on the 7th sep.0
-
had call from OR clerk, she went through my assets and my bank accounts and then said that an examiner would ring me within the next few days as this is not a particularly straight forward case (think this could be because of the house being in my ex partners name and the joint loan being secured on the house which now has a repo order on it) is this normal?
Cheers

OR interview yesterday and went well. Checking with manager re car exemption but thinks I have a good case. OR was very understanding and non judgemental. Now just got to live with the small inconviences of being bankrupt but the complete relief of being debt free and able to move on with my life.0

I'm ready to be added to the list! BR as of 11.54 am this morning. All went very smoothly and so far so good. Just got to sort out the car situation (one's leased and will go and the other is ours but just clapped out) and the 2nd property situation (we rent it out at a loss that my parents subsidise) which we hope to be able to keep but are resigned to it going.
Am less worried about the OR interviews and stuff that i was about today - was convinced he would say no!0 -
Hi wayforward, welcome to you and am pleased it all well so smoothly for you and you are feeling less worry already. congratulations!

Hi Richyorks. Had my OR interview today - an hour and 20 mins but got through it. Completely didn't think i'd need any mortgage stuff so super organised me had to scramble around upstairs looking for all sorts mid phone call, I did cry twice but that's just me.
Big relief now, finally 'all' over, so to speak, still so much to sort out but well on the way now.0 -
Hi all in the August club, OR interview over yesterday phew.....
Miche I was asked alot of mortgage details, esp reasons for re-mortgaging, hadnt really thought about it so was a bit panicky to remember the correct info!!
Keep waiting to feel better but seem to feel more down than ever, hope this feeling doesnt last.
Best of luck to all awaiting their interviews.0 -
Hi All,
Sorry for the delay in joining the August club, I went BR on the 24th August, another 50 weeks until AD!!!!
Hope everyone is well, haven't posted in awhile but have been popping in to catch up.
Have to say, this week I feel very liberated. Last week I felt really down following my BR, usual feelings of feeling a failure etc, but having given myself a good talking to I am in a much more positive frame of mind. I just feel relieved that the phone calls have stopped and I'm back in control - yay :j.Not had my OR interview yet, no date been set either, bit scared but thats normal judging by the posts.
Good luck to anyone going BR, it is stressful and scary and all those things but once its done it is a relief.
