Sorry I haven't been around for a while and hope everyone is all right.
DD(23) told me on Tuesday she felt ill (she works and lives in Oxford) so on Wednesday me and DH drove down to pick her up and take her home to be looked after.
One of her work collegues has been diagnosed with swine flu and another one is a suspect case.
I went on the flu website that has just been set up and it was really quick and simple to use.
I got the assessment that DD probably had swine flu- copied the unique id and reference number - went to local pick up point which turned out to be our normal chemist and got the Tamiflu for her
The website was much easier than faffing about with phone calls and it is much easier to read a list of questions yourself than it is to wait for someone else on the other end of a phone to read it all out and respond.
The National Pandemic Flu Service website can be found by going on direct.gov.uk/pandmic flu - that is not a link because did not think we could post them.
She started taking Tamiflu on Thurday morning and is starting now to look a bit more like her self IYKWIM.
She is asleep at the moment so I am taking the chance to pop on here and say Hello to you all.
I found it really tricky taking her temperature with a traditional thermometer so have just splashed out on an infra red model that takes the temp on the forehead or in the ear in about one second. It should make it easier if her younger sisters get it.
In true moneysaving style I saved about £17 on the RRP!;)

elona - hope your DD soon recovers. I had a text from my best friend today to say she has gone down with it too and is feeling very poorly. She doesn't live locally, luckily nobody from my area has it yet - or not that I know.Do what you love :happyhear0
