Halight-Hows the appeal going? You heard anything yet?I know these things drag on but your case is just appalling as you should never have been classed as fit for work in the first case
Hi lesley,
I filled the forms in that thay sent me to appeal and sent them back off to them. I had a letter off them yesterday saying that thay had recived the forms and thay will be looking into my appeal.
But i have to add that from what i can make out from this site on the benafits forum and from other benafit forum sites that i have visted the appeal can take upto 11 weeks to befor thay let you know the outcome:eek:
And from what most people have writen on the forums the DWPs seem to drag it out that long. I can only hope that im one of the few that are lucky and get to hear sooner rather than later. 3 weeks is the shortest time that iv read about it all being sorted. But that person had there claim turned down again. So then had to take it to tribulan. I hope that i dont have to take it that far.
I will keep you all updated as and when i know somthing.:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Hi everyone
Isn't is a horrible day today? We have just been for a walk to the woods near us while there was a bit of a gap in the rain but ended up getting soaked.
Going to bake some biscuits with the kids this afternoon, they have loads of new cookie cutters that they are dying to use so that will be us for the afternoon I think.
I am going to have a nice tidy up now while the kids are watching phineas and ferb on tele.... has anyone seen it, it's my favourite TV show for the kids at the minute:D Not that I usually encourage them to watch tele all day but while I have jobs to do I will let them off:p
Off to tidy up now, stardrops and microfibre cloth here I come!0 -
Hello Everyone
Big (((hugs))) for Bitsy's family & everyone else feeling under the weather.
Redruby - hope you find your little visitor
Tiredmum - I love driving auto's and after a couple of days you will probably never want to go back to a manual
Haribo - Dolphins, I am very jealous, we have seals here but I just love watching dolphines
Pink - hope your cat is fully recovered soon, I hope you got a refund from the vet too.
Way late posting for me today - got up early and was looking forward to getting a lot done but then had to go out and rescue a sick driver and do some deliveries. Only been home a while and completely cream crackered. Plan to sit down on the settee watching Sky+'d Midsummer Murders and recharge my batteries so can get something done this afternoon.
Its OH Birthday today, was meant to be getting some nice steak from the butchers to have with chips and mushrooms but didnt get home it time. Will see what else he wants. As part of his bday present we are going to China town tomorrow so it wont be chinese.
So not too much OS here today - note to self - must do better

Hope your little ones are feeling better soon Bitsy. People just don't seem to know what is swine flu and what isn't. I read somewhere that if you have flu it isn't likely to be another kind. Anyway, DH is getting better but still pretty wiped out. I came down with it yesterday- during Thurs night/ Fri morning. Just felt so hot, sick, achey. No cold symptoms though with either of us really although I felt a kind of tight chest yesterday. Took Ben*lin and it went away. Anyway, I get up for spells during the day and am on here now so can't be too bad!! I do feel pretty yuck and night time has been horrible so it must be so hard for children.
We were both still in bed this morning at 11am (unwell!!!) and DH went down to the front door to be greeted by a couple who had come to view the house! They said they will rearrange with estate agent. I rang the e agent and the manager had the cheek to tell me that they had rung on Wed and had spoken to my husband, that he(estate agent man) remembers how he felt with flu (thereby insinuating DH couldn't remember the call), then actually said he wasn't going to persist with the fact that DH had been rung because then it would be a situation where they were calling my husband a liar. I was mad. I just told him to rearrange appointment. He rang back half an hour later, got DH and was very flustered, saying they'd just had a call from a couple whose viewers hadn't turned up. Turns out they'd rung the wrong sellers. We have not been impressed with them at all but our contract ties us in for first 16 weeks. Wonder if we can get out of it because of their incompetence?? (they also missed out our house in paper when it first went up for sale - I said you never get an opportunity like the first week again and he said sorry, his mistake .)
Ok, off to lie on settee and watch some telly. Thinking of poorlies (((hugs)))

ps - Pink - your poor cat! (((little hugs to her)))0 -
Afternoon all,
Thanks for kind remarks, I used wmf's remedy last night and feel better to-day....I gather that a temperature of 38c for 24 hours is the critical diagnostic sign, nothing like that....think that I am a bit overanxious as we have 2 under 5s and a 6yo in the house at present....there are paracetemol tablets and lemons, oranges and honey for hot drinks, hopefully that will be enough.
Tired mum...I have driven automatic cars without too much bother but still feel more in control with manual...you will get used to it in a short time.
Pink...horrified at poor Tilly's treatment at vet's, hopefully she will make a full recovery.
Bitsy....hope that little ones are better soon.
Ham, cabbage and some of the delicious potatoes I bought yesterday for dinner this evening, ham is cooking and will hopefully be nice....was pleased yesterday to get 6 pounds weight for €10, we are 5 adults and 2 children so should be plenty left over for sandwiches etc.
Need to make several phone calls this afternoon to neglected relatives and friends....all children are off somewhere so should be ideal time.
Have a good evening all

Taplady and Marie, I hope you are both feeling a bit better.
Bitsy, sorry your littlies and well...it's difficult when two go down with the same thing at the same time.
Anniestar, belated birthday wishes. I hope you had a good day!
We took Tilly (the cat) to the vets last night to get her anual booster and while I was there the vet offered to do her flea and worming treatment. Whilst I was paying at reception, the vet came out and grabbed the second vial he'd given me to use next month out of my hand and muttered something about having given me the wrong one. I didn't think any more about it at the time. When we got home she seemed unwell, walking very gingerly, not able to jump but we assumed she was just traumatised by the whole thing. This morning however she was totally lethargic, off her food, pupils dilated and could barely walk at all. I looked again at the invoice and the idiot has given her flea and worming treatment for large dogs! So straight down to the vets again this morning and saw the head of the practice who has given her a sedative and said to leave her alone for 24 hours and 'hopefully' she'll recover. I am so cross! I hope he gives the young vet a good rollicking!
Anyway she's comfortable now and seems to be sleeping it off. Poor little mite. I've been out in the garden and decided to dig up the garlic. I had done a little experiment and tried using a variety specially for growing and some cloves from the supermarket. The supermarket cloves have won and are far bigger and plumper than the solent wight.
This afternoon is shopping for bits and pieces for the holiday. I hate shopping for clothes so I'm making soup and crusty bread now for tea in case we're late back, otherwise I know I'd talk myself into a takeaway.
Hope you're having a good day.
Pink
We also have a cat called tilly:D shes 3 years old samll in size and all black
i hope that your tilly gets better soon:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

Happy August Everyone
Not having a great day as feeling off colour. But I'll be fine.
Nan loved the concert she went to last night, so it's nice to see her happy. I got the tickets through helping with promotion so a nice free night out for her.
I managed to get a few more cards made last night and will try to do a few more later. BIL has discovered I have a banana bread to make so he's requested several slices:rolleyes::rotfl: Sent the last of the HM lemon drizzle cake over to him and sis earlier.
Have posted off some days out vouchers to a friend, so hopefully that will help with the kids this summer. They're of no use to me as most of my friends are paired off now and don't have much time for their single friend anymore. Their loss!
Horrible weather here today, but hopefully that'll perk up the runner beans, which are looking pretty sorry for themselves this year.
BIL is doing some more electrics at the flat, so I'm slowly getting closer to moving in - finally. Done surveys and daily clicks this morning to try and get a few extra pennies coming in. Oh I was offered another shift yesterday for later this month, so I'm now working 17 days this month. Would love it to be more, but this industry is going to pot lately.
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0
