Looks like it is time for me to 'fess up too.

I felt so low yesterday as I knew it was my dog's last day due to his old age. I came home from work and called in Boots for some lunch (first pledge break) as I just wanted to collect something to eat and take home and not make it so I bought the £2.99 meal deal.

I had a quick look on the clearence stall and they had a lot of Botanics which I picked up and put in my basket. Sorry guys, I bought it to cheer myself up. The only upside was it was mega cheap.

I bought a radiance balm reduced to 55p a couple of masks for about £1 and a night cream for £2.44. Managed to stop myself buying some make up as at least that thought of having enough was still there in my mind. Also managed to not buy the No17 mascara and get a free eye palette as even I could see in my slightly numb state that I would never use it.

Funny effects of grief eh? Still could have been worse at least they were cheap and I didn't splurge on Bobbi Brown on QVC last night.

I will list some more ebay items from my large stash I have sorted out to go on there this weekend, there's a right old pile of stuff.

Fedup sorry to hear your sad news too. As Magni said I'm sure I'd have done the same but possibly not have gone for the bargains. Hopefully the things you've bought will just replace things you use up in the challenge. Hugs

Thanks for all your kind words :A

You're right at least I kept the spends low. I tried the Botanics Vitamin Rescue Mask this morning as I spent a lot of yesterday in tears and just tried to rescue my skin a bit.

I used way too much as it was gloopier than I expected. It did work and my skin looked a bit nicer afterwards for some hydration.

Chucked on a load of eye cream in several layers and amounts last night and today as eyes are lined and puffy and dry now after wiping away the tears.

Will see how the Botanics range goes as it is not too badly priced at full price in future.

Also popped on to say I have used up a L'Occitane 4 Reines Eau de Toilette at 125ml and was very nice too.

Here we go on another day :D

Hi everyone, so sorry about your dog Fedup, hope you're feeling better today.

Just wanted to pop in and say I bought 2 shower gels (both half price) and some shaving gel (also half price) yesterday, to replace what I am about to use up, so it doesn't count. I confess to going out with the intention of buying In Style magazine for the free eyeliners as detailed in Martin's email, but they didn't have the colour I wanted so I was saved. So 9/9 so far for me :)

Fedup you are doing an amazing amount- especially considering the circumstances

Tete- close shave! Well done! I've steered clear of even looking at mags so I don't crumble.

I'm cutting down on the Diet Coke I'm drinking at the moment in the hope it will be easier when I finally finish my stocks and go cold turkey. Will start with 1 a day then 1 every other day etc.
I've been sorting through my clothes and realized just how many I have so I'm having another big clear out. It's crazy that I keep buying more!! Luckily I've not bought any so far this challenge.

  • Finished a 15 ml LE moisturiser a few days ago.... and received my new delivery this morning :o I only ordered two 'sets' of C&P, tonic and moisturiser so I could get two free body scrubs :D I do love these though, so thought it was ok and I will definately use them :D

Also went to Boots today to buy some of my favourite shampoo and conditioner... and they don't sell it anymore, well not the conditioner anyway :( So I bought three sample sizes of another one (3 for 2 and paid with points)
Not sure why I'm telling this because neither actually count:rotfl:
