Hi all
Fedup- With the cheap shampoos u could use them to wash makeup brushes or use it for cleaning the bath
Thanks puss - didn't think of that so will try it out for washing the make up brushes.
I didn't realise you could use shampoo for cleaning the bath? Will steer clear of this brand in future and I only bought it to try out the brand downshifting, unfortunately didn't work this time. Never mind maybe that is why my skin was better when I used exclusively higher brand things.
Will have to bear this in mind in future alongside only buying what I need in future instead of stock piling for a shower gel shortage. At least I know what suits me (L'Occitane does) however I have enough of this to see me through any supply shortages in the next year!
Have used up a 200ml Charles Worthingto Frizz Smoothing Intensive Conditioner thing today

I found doing this challenge has really made me think about the products I will definately buy again... I know sometimes it can be a bot more expensive, but its a false economy to buy cheaper stuff that you just end up throwing. Some of the things I will be buying will be more expensive, but it will work out cheaper in the long run
I love L'Occitane shower gels too. I'm hoping MiL takes advantage of a TSV at some point for my Xmas prezzie

Too true, the cheaper products can be false economy in many ways- If they cause a skin reaction
- I tend to use large amounts because they are cheap
- End up chucking them out as a result
This has left me with a small list of things I really do want to use - meaning in future I will buy less as a result even if the products cost a bit more I know I will use them because I want to rather than endlessly searching for this and that to make me feel better.
My favourite moisturiser is Decleor Hydra Floral which I have a weakness for. I have avoided using it for most of this year as I have been using up my other pots. Very nice to feel the plumpness again(of my skin!) and guess what? Have 3 pots left to use :rotfl:oh dear!
Please don't let the next beauty day on QVC be this when it is a Decleor TSV - give me strength!

The Liz Earle 3 step cleansing I will definately be using forever! I love L'Occitane shower gels - Cherry Blossom is my current fav, closely followed by Rose 4 Reines, but there's so many to chose from, and I'm now where near trying them all!! Citrus Verbene will be next I think. I also like the LE Orangeflower, because I can use it on DS, but I have found a good and half-the-price alternative at work that is just as good. I'm still trying with body moisturiser... I love System Corps, but also Body Shop body butters! Hands wise, I just get a cheap one because no matter how expensive they are, I still seem to get through it really quickly!
Have you tried any L'Occitane shampoos? They look really nice too! I did find a Crabtree and Evelyn one I loved, but I can't seemt to get it anymore!

I have the L'Occitane Rose Shampoo and Conditioner stashed away to try next!
The L'Occitane Shower Creams are great shampoos too as is the Honey and Lemon Shower Jelly. I have used them and they leave my hair great. Why did I forget this when trying the cheap brand? I don't know, thanks for the reminder!
System Corps and Shea Body Lotion are my favourites alongside the Pearlescent Rose Cream for special times. I am using the Palmers Cocoa Butter ones at the moment and I can really tell the difference as it doesn't rub in very well but it is cheap and will do as I save my last L'Occitane one for a bit longer! I also like the Naked Coca de Mer Body Butter from Boots but this seems to have disappeared for now.
There is not one L'Occitane Shower Cream or gel that I don't like and the TSV kits from QVC really are the best way to buy it with the supersize versions compared to buying from the shops (the only time I can recommend QVC really!). I bought the last one to split up as presents for Christmas so have the supersized Cherry sitting upstairs for a pressie! Thats what MiL does too, she splits them between me and SiL. I will have to have a look at QVC next time they're onI used the Palmers for a while, but I think it smells really fake compared to the more natural ones.
You'll have to let me know what the shampoos are like!

I just finished a tube of Ultraceuticals 30+ moisturiser which i originally thought was exxy at Aussie $60 but its lasted me 18 months using it 90% of my days so considering i do like it i think thats not bad value. I also finished Revlon pink happiness body moisturiser which was a gift and i wouldn't purchase this myself as i wasn't all that keen on the fragrance. Lastly I finished an Akin unscented hand cream which i got in a pack heavily reduced and this was lovely, I would buy this again.
regarding using the shampoo toclean the bative done this b4, I just use a roughish cloth andt is quite effective and then just rinse as normal.Thailand 3010/15000 20150 -
Will try it out then next time when I run out of my cleaner!
Used up a Boots Original Cuticle Oil last night and will be replacing this by using up my Pure Shea butter which I have had for over 3yrs and I never thought I would use up. In fact I forgot all about it until I had my skin reaction around my eyes that it sorted out a treat.
I have finally realised that Cuticle Oils are not the best value for money (Nails Inc anyone?) and when I use up the shea butter I'll either replace that or get some almond oil and use thatfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Used my mega cheap shampoo to wash my hairbrushes and it made a nice job of them!
Just need a new paddle brush as it looks very tatty now and it is 4yrs old so I think I can allow that. No rush though and will get one after Christmas.
Used up a Charles Worthington Hair Healer 200ml that has lasted for 6mths+. It is ok but I won't repurchase this as there isn't that much I like enough to repurchase now from this range once all my stocks have gone.
Must be tomorrow we finish as it is very quiet on here.
Not tempted by the Gatineau TSV at all as luckily this is not one of my fave ranges. Need to be strong over the next few weeks as they are craming loads of beauty ones in. Need to be strong and not buy the Smashbox/Philosophy/Decleor
*note to self*
**remember how much make up you have and how far you have come, sold all spares and decluttered into 2 make up bags from 4 and remember how much Philosophy you had at one point and how much you sold DON'T GO BACK THERE! **final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Hi all,
Used up a few more things but still tonnes to go! Bought a new cleanser today but nothing else for absolutely ages. Gonna have a mini-challenge to use up as much things by Christmas, start the new year afresh (and with less stuff).0
