    hello spendaholicinseattle,

What a fantastic thread. This should be an example to us all.
In your original post you are way down in the dumps and worried about money.

    You post your SOA
(by the way everyone should have one its a great life tool)

You actually listened to the advise given you and ACTED on it.
Wow if only we were all able to do that.

If you re do your SOA in a few weeks you will be able to add in some money to save up for a great holiday.

    Well done.

You have restored my believe in asking for, giving and TAKING advise. Thanks

    This is flylady http://flylady.net/

Have a look at the babysteps, I found them really helpful actually, joking aside.

Though the thought of getting an email telling me to clean the windows would be hugely depressing!

I have started my spending diary today - scary! I haven't spent much though, 30p to park my car, £4 for coffee for me and a mate, £5 on lunch... hang on... there goes a tenner :(

    Done Life Insurance
Done SKY today - it took me 15 minutes of "going through the options" with the SKY numpty, grr! But that's £36.50 a month gone! :)
Tomorrow's plan is to sort out my buildings insurance

Well done you - you're getting loads done :j:j

Thanks1 I feel like there is a long way to go yet though! My spending diary has really shown me that I habitually fritter money, I think as a way to keep me busy/cheer me up etc... except of course it's just a quick fix and doesn't work in the long run!

It's amazing how addictive NOT spending money can get once you get into it :)

Although alas I am not into it at the minute and the grocery bill would make your hair curl (even if the humidity hadn't done that already)
