Hi Shaun just found your diary although I first found you on Hypno's diary.
Im down in the sunny south :rotfl:Cork to be exact, only sunny sometimes honest! Have to agree with the rip off republic re the prices here, its bl***y criminial. Made worse by knowing how cheap the UK is for groceries. I too shop at Lidl and Dunnes and manage on €300 a month for 2 adults and 3 kids (although 2 kids are big, 16 & 13 big appetites), so I dont think Im doing too bad. We have carpy internet too and live in the sticks, but do appreciate it its lovely when the sun shines.
Laughing at the things kids come out with my youngest 7 came in the other day and said "Had to come in there's HERDS of MIDGIES out there":rotfl:Probably used to looking at cows and sheep!

Hi Shaun! A sub-diary of Hypno's - thats what I was for ages, before I started my own. I'm going to start another one once I'm completely well again.
I'm glad turfy6 has commented on grocery spends - I wonder if you're not stretching the protein as far as most other people on here do, Shaun? You shop in the right places, batch cook and what not. Unless you throw away anything not immediately eaten, I don't see much else .... what do you think?
I went out to my town centre for the first time in about 6 weeks today, wanted to get some fresh food. But I could only bear to go to one supermarket (and I was drooping badly by the time I got there) and I *had* to go to Waitrose, for their pesto ... so Waitrose it was. £18 later .... mind you, that included a chocolate cake and some carrot slices. My virtual £20 has been badly eroded today!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
great start to the season :j:j

Nope, you're right, thats fine. Don't know what "laz" is tho
thats another wild and wonderful woolly spelling, isn't it ??
I've just been ranting at virgin media. I was supposed to get a deal of £5 a month on the cable for 3 months, and as things stand they're not giving it to me. Sods. I shall be complaining. Deeply.:D:D
Hooray for Leicester!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
