have to say watching tv is not the most interesting when your sick...
    never is! :rotfl:
i think you need to concentrate on one room at a time,,
are you re grouting the bathroom??
that jobs been going on for a while now?? or has it gone from a little job to a bwoody big one??
The house had had some botched DIY done to it before I bought it - it had been rented out for quite a while. Plus I had to have the toilet replaced a while back, and a *lot* of extra grout was used :rotfl: I'm not regrouting, just clearing up.
in the last house,we had a small leek in the shower,,,looked like a re seal job,,cleared out the mastic and then the tiles started to fall off the wall...had to re plaster the shower and clean and replace 30 tiles,,,,so much for a smll job!!
hate anything to do with water,,,because they always end up being bigger jobs than you thought!!
 Thats unfortunately true. I'm not doing anything to the plumbing myself tho, not even changing a washer - at the mo, its all about little jobs that I can do for 5 mins, literally, and then lie down if I want to (or come back on here :D)
as for little job,,,they are usually quick and so give a great deal of satisfaction....
i weeded the front footpath last week,,,took 3 to 4 hrs,,,even now i look at it and think ,,,that looks so much better,,,,
and all id done is weed and place some white gravle in a gap between some slabs

That is so true .... thats the sort of weeding I was doing at my sister's place in France. I have to keep up wtih it here too, as the cotoneaster grows very enthusiastically.

Yay to a quiet time and Leicester City victories - but don't pinch yourself so hard!

Okay, we're both going to be really sorry I posted this....this is my schedule for the bathroom for the next month:

Cleaning:deep clean bath, vacuum cobwebs; then tiles, floor, windows, mirrors, curtain.

Spider proofing: around walls, around bath, plus sealant strip around top of bath, and use polyfilla.

Finishing: clean excess grout, fill grout holes, use grout pen, use foam filler on hole in wall for old pipe, repair mirror, lay vinyl on floor, put up two hooks, hang the shower curtain.

Spider proof your house - easy - just leave a few conkers lying around, spiders hate them:j
