Perhaps lets start the new thread that Browntoa was talking about a few days ago and consign this one to the better best forgotten section!
I agree, and hopefully PC does too, it is getting too long anyway.
Is it possible to put a link on the first page, not just the last of an old thread to the new one,Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Just interested, does your Waitrose take multiples & as many coupons as you have? Mine has for the last few weeks but not sure if it is widespread policy. There seems to have been a lot of activity at my store with many "suits" wandering around and even more attention to keeping the place clean and up to scratch - not that it has ever been anything but a pleasant place to shop.[/QUOTE]
Hi, well AFAIK the policy is that they take the coupon if they stock the item. However, for me personally i feel uncomfortable handing over almost all coupons for say 40.00 shop, or whatever. Usually i do small shops and use a few coupons each time - I also buy lots of reduced items, so I am already saving quite a bit of money. The staff are quite well aware of the policy, and the young people have no problem whatsoever - have even happily told me no prob as W get the money back. The older 'trouts' often ask if i have bought the item, i just politely say 'been told don't have to?' and they cave in. Wouldn't get into real argument though, not that its been necessary. They do take multiple coupons, although again i try to hand over different ones. Very occasionally they have a clampdown for whatever reason, and say only 3 coupons, or only 10% - never lasts long though. My fave supermarket btw (not counting M&S food hall), lucky for me its nearby! HTH and good luck. ss0 -
