Dr.Who-Who wrote: »For those of you who are still interested in buying printer :-
Below when I bought for the office in Feb 2009 it was £48.27.
Epson SX200 all in one printer
Catalogue number: 204-3888- Now £34.19
- 68 Clubcard points
Do not pay more than £5 for Cheetah (even if you buy multi pack T0715 - you should pay no more than £20 for 4 cartridges - T0711, 712, 713 & 714).
If you are going to buy Monkey epson is should cost no more than £4.
Hope this help somebody.
I have one of these printers and for about £40 you can buy a continuous ink system for it at https://www.inkexpress.co.uk. I get my refill ink bottles from them too, very cheap!Murphy knows me too well and sticks to me like glue!0 -
I have the same question - it was posted sometime ago by one of you (sorry I can't remember who).
Today I received a stack full of Financial Times coupons valid from 19/9 till 18/12/09. Also a separate letter to tell me that my direct debit was cancelled ( 2 weeks ago, I tried at least 5 times via their email to inform them that I no longer wish to subscribe after the £1 offer but my email kept bounced back & I gave up, so what I did was cancel the d/debit myself after the £1 has been taken off) & they are asking me to re-instate my d/debit if I still want to subscribe (fat chance).
Did you continue to use the FT coupons ( I remember you said something like they asked you to send it back to them) ? Did you chucked it away/give it back or are you still using it?I cancelled on this e mail addresssubscriptions@ft.com
Yes, I used the above email to reply back to them but failed & give up!! got better things to do like reading forum.... entering comp.... talking on facebookRIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -

I whole heartedly agree, don't rock the boat! Plus, I was told by a cashier that soon the till is going to be able to tell if a coupon has already been used as the till will reject a coupon (with a unique ID number) if that number has already been accepted therefore making photocopies a thing of the past! Hope I explained that right!
Several posters on here love to make out that they know how Tescos works too!
The reality is that unless someone works for Head Office, it's all hyperbole and guesswork.
(It would be great if the till could recognise those "dot" security barcodes though.)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

OH went in today to get a few bits and guess what - another till split for £5 off a £10 pack of Strongbow / Becks / Stella. We now have 3 of these - are they trying to turn us into alcoholics . I think I will have to buy them though and maybe save them for Xmas. I'd rather have points but 45 cans of Strongbow or 54 bottles of beer for £15 minus MOC's seems too good to miss.:j
I thought they were supposed to reducing the amount of alcohol offers.....
One of the Tesco's I use has a funny idea about taking any alcoholic coupons (Carlsberg, Badger beer, Summer Spirits, etc.). They will only take them if you buy the product and you can't use coupons to buy alcohol, now if that isn't a condradiction I don't know what is!. When I asked them why I was told "that if they accept coupons for alcohol then that would be like them promoting drinking and they don't want to be seen as promoting drinking", then I get a till spit for £5 off £10 spend for, yes you got it, alcohol! And they don't want to be seen as promoting drinking!! Who is kidding who?

Thank you for your email. I can confirm that the post trial subscription to the FT has been cancelled as requested. I note that the vouchers that were due to start on 22/08 have already been despatched. On their arrival please return these to our freepost address below:

I've always gone back in such situations, but being nice gets you nowhere in this world.
The coupon itself is fine, and Sainsburys don't allow coupons without buying, so nothing much to spoil. But the till will be £27 down. I don't know how far big supermarkets go into chasing up such amounts.
Anyone on here worked at one?
I used to be a controller for Safeways (before Mr Morrison bought them all!) and if a till was that much down we would get the till roll off and painstakingly go through it. If anything glaringly obvious came up, like a £30 coupon we'd then go through all coupons taken in that till during the day since previous till check (we used to carry them out randomly during the day and each till would be checked at least twice a day).
If a £3 coupon came up and it was obvious we'd then try and find out if customer had paid by cheque (in those days you could) with an address or had a loyalty card and then we'd take steps to contact and recover the money.
If none of these then the SA would get a severe b*ll*cking and probably a verbal warning too. If they could recover the money then just a severe b*ll*cking!
Soooooooooooooooo, if you have a Nectar card and used it then you might get contacted by sainsbury's or they might consider it not enough money to be bothered about nowadays. Hope this might help?
Personally, I would go back to the store as I wouldn't want to see someone getting into trouble for their till being 'down' by so much. But then, I have seen how management react when they think their hefty bonuses might be on the line :rolleyes:0 -
Coupon-mad wrote: »Interesting story by that cashier - some of them just love to make out that they know something we don't! :rotfl:
I really can't see it happening at all though, the till only scans the barcode. The ID number & details (on Couponnet, Pigsback and Smart coupons etc) is not part of the barcode and couldn't be included either, as 99 barcodes have a set format to show the product and the amount off. I would be very happy for technology to prove me wrong though, and I am sure all our regular posters would be happy with such a system too (any coupon-scammers lurking here can just take a running jump).
But I don't think it's the Couponnet ones that are the problem anyway, really, the recent abuse was with PDF coupons. I wish all retailers stopped being so stupid as to put coupons on the internet in PDF form - are you listening retailers? No, I thought not...:o
If they did it would be a clear message that coupon use is to stay, if they are investing money in it.
The problems with PDF's arise when they put very long dates on them, instead of about 2/3 weeks, they could then see how it goes then issue another with 2/3 week expiry on.I agree! I also have a spare room full of both Cifs and Domestos bleach so although I don't always buy the product when using the coupons I have bought more than I would normally if I wasn't using coupons. Also if Tesco isn't getting reimbursed for any pdf. coupons then they would put a block on them as they have in the past. My daughter was really bummed when the KOS was blocked as she was buying it everytime she used the coupon.
How hairy is your daughter?;);););)AKA: PC

If that comment's directed at me, can I reiterate that if someone attacks or insults me on the forum, that's where my reply will be posted.
It's not just directed at you but also everyone else that wants to drag innocent bystanders into their arguments. I get enough of listening to my neighbours fighting 24/7, plus I don't come on here to listen to arguments. As for my commenting at all on the subject, we were all asked our opinion by PC or was it VC as to what to do with this thread so I thought I'd better say my peace, as I don't want to have it closed, and as I understand from what folks have posted about all the squabbling that has been going on that was a major factor in PC wanting to step down. So I posted my opinion, it was not a dig or attack or insult at any 1 person in particular, just an opinion into stopping all the bickering in public and keeping me and everyone else out of it at the same time (if folks want to fight all I ask is don't do it in front of me). Someone once tried to pick an argument with me before when I agreed with another poster but I just went to lurking instead of having a "public brawl" but that is because I don't feel that this forum is the place for that sort of thing (again, just my opinion) and I have no intentions of going ten rounds with anyone over an opinion that is shared my many others, as I have been reading in the other posts on this matter. Although, I do understand that not everyone agrees with me about keeping arguments out of the public domain but everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I was just voicing mine as everyone else was, including yourself and I fully appreciate your opinion as well as everyone else's opinions. I consider you all my friends and I listen to what my friends think even if I don't always see eye to eye with them. I guess I should just learn to keep my opinions to myself, even if it is the same opinion others share, as I definitely don't want to fall out with anyone. So I'm sorry if anyone doesn't agree with me but there isn't anything I can do about that (aside from keeping my mouth shut). The world would be a very boring place if we all agreed on everything.;)
