FROM : "Tesco Customer Service" customer.service@tesco.co.uk
TO : ****************************

Dear Miss **********

Thank you for your email addressed to Sir Terry Leahy, to which I have been asked to respond.

I am sorry for the constant problems that you are experiencing when redeeming your coupons, especially internet ones at our ******* store. Please accept my sincere apologies for the upset and inconvenience that this matter has caused you.

Our Coupon Policy is as follows:-

COUPON POLICY

• For all Tesco issued coupons the customer must buy the product.

• We accept branded coupons for all products stocked by Tesco.

• For all other branded coupons eg Persil, a customer can use one of any branded coupon without buying the relevant product. If they have 2 of the same branded coupon, then the customer must buy 1 of the relevant products – this means for each different branded coupon we are giving the customer 1 chance to use the coupon without buying the product.

• There is NO limit on the amount of branded coupons a customer can use at one time. They can pay for all their shopping using branded coupons if all the coupons are for different products stocked by Tesco.

• We DO NOT accept other supermarket product coupons eg 50p off Coke at ****** (competitor).

• We DO accept supermarket conditional spend coupons eg Save £5 when you spend £50 at ***** (competitor).

With regard to the acceptance of internet coupons, we will accept these as long as the serial numbers are different and stores should understand that customer’s home printers will vary in quality. They should be accepted on the same terms as pre-printed coupons in that we accept 1 for a product not purchased.

I hope this clarifies our position in this matter.

Kind Regards

Sharon Sparks
Customer Service Executive

TL's office never mentions issues regarding their Store Managers, and generally, they'll back them EVEN if the GMs r in the wrong... so not surprised ur letter didn't mention those concerns...

Sorry, I didn't answer cos was not quite sure what you meant  You can print out as many of the pdf ones as you want and use them as often as you want as long as one per shop unless you buy the product. When our old friend the finish quantum £2 pdf was available lots of people including blue printed loads and bought the actual finish quantum tablets with it because they were on offer in Asda at one time for £2, so free :j Hope that answers your question
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

I think this is now a fairly standard letter, but with variations depending on the person, but in Smelly Feet case they did mention the store etc
