Hiya - can anyone help me with the Daily Star conditional £5 of £30 (Lidl) MOC?

I bought a few copies of the Star yesterday (thinking the MOC would only be printed in Saturday's paper, and not every day this week - d'oh...)

After cutting out all the MOCs I phoned my local store to check that they would take the MOC. Checkout Supervisor (I didn't get his name, rather stupidly) confirmed that they WOULD.

However, when I got to the checkout, the scanner beeped & refused the MOC. A different supervisor came along and advised the young girl to type in the numbers, but still no luck.

I paid up (fuming) and headed to Customer Services, where I was told that the person who'd said "YES" over the phone shouldn't have done, and that because these are Lidl conditional spend MOC's they are not accepted by Tesco because it says Lidl on the voucher. I did point out that many other vouchers say "buy this/that product only with this voucher" but are accepted by Tesco against any old product, but he just shrugged.

I've written an email to Tesco Customer Services querying the difference of stories, and stating my disappointment.

Any ideas ? I've kept the MOCs just in case.

    thanks

    MM
they should of put it in under non scan coupons . this allows them to punch the value in :T

The Lidl coupon should go in the till as other coupons - then none scan coupons..... there is a button on the till to do this....
    SIMPLES!
  • Thanks for all your responses re the non-scanning Star (Lidl) MOC at my local T's.

If I send the MOC, plus my receipt, do you think it matters that I paid most of the £30-ish total by MOC's ?

I don't want to rock the boat or raise my profile with head office unnecessarily.

    Thanks

Is it possible to use multiples of the same mail vouchers from last week in 1 shop?
Spend £8 on household stuff so say I spend £24 can I use X 3 of the £2 off household vouchers in the same shop. My store doesn't like/allow split shopping so this would be easier but if needs must,

Has anybody worked out a way of solving the Couponnet printing problem that so many people have experienced? I've used CCleaner and all the other stuff people have suggested, but so far I haven't been able to get it to work again. Thanks.

I emailed coupon net about a week ago and received the following reply after a few days. I am now back up and running and am well happy.

    Dear Warburtons Customer,

I have had a chance to look into your reported printing issue and have found that your device was blocked because of the instruction we got from Warburton’s for those people who were in breach of the terms and conditions of their offer.

We have spoken to Warburton’s and told them that you are an honest coupon user and they have instructed us to unblock you.

    Kind Regards,

    Mortgage-free Glee!
I used a Lidl yesterday :T but they only took 3 internets (let me have my double sided colour laser printed ones as well though :D) and my Pik a Pak's etc. The young SA (lad) said I'll have to check this and supervisor came over and had to do it for him. (I'd checked at CS on the way in!). He then told me "We take Farm Foods as well". I said "Do you really?" - it was really nice of him to volunteer this information!
I'm not going today as the freezer is full, the fridge is full and the garage is full (Rinse aid lake, Finish Mountain, Pik a Pak Pile, Badger Beer Lake, etc.) :rotfl:
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D

  • Hi all

I've received some conditional spend vouchers from Tesco:j:j

Problem is they require a minimum spend of £90:eek::eek:

Does anyone know if they will work if the total is £90 before multibuys/Bogofs? (My Tescos don't take the Lidl vouchers which are better value:mad:)

    Many thanks
