Night all - it's my birthday tomorrow :j
Happy birthday Jeferey!!! I was my daughter's birthday too. It was a beautiful hot sunny day 24 years ago and I was stuck in the hospital all day waiting to meet my daughter, it was worth it though!!! Hope you had a great day and enjoyed the unusual weather we had (not a drop of rain all day!)!!Murphy knows me too well and sticks to me like glue!0 -
Hiya - can anyone help me with the Daily Star conditional £5 of £30 (Lidl) MOC?
I bought a few copies of the Star yesterday (thinking the MOC would only be printed in Saturday's paper, and not every day this week - d'oh...)
After cutting out all the MOCs I phoned my local store to check that they would take the MOC. Checkout Supervisor (I didn't get his name, rather stupidly) confirmed that they WOULD.
However, when I got to the checkout, the scanner beeped & refused the MOC. A different supervisor came along and advised the young girl to type in the numbers, but still no luck.
I paid up (fuming) and headed to Customer Services, where I was told that the person who'd said "YES" over the phone shouldn't have done, and that because these are Lidl conditional spend MOC's they are not accepted by Tesco because it says Lidl on the voucher. I did point out that many other vouchers say "buy this/that product only with this voucher" but are accepted by Tesco against any old product, but he just shrugged.
I've written an email to Tesco Customer Services querying the difference of stories, and stating my disappointment.
Any ideas ? I've kept the MOCs just in case.
thanks

ALL Tesco's should be taking these without exception according to the National policy, keep your receipt and send it along with your Moc to customer services in Dundee,
Coupon mad is the expert on these...if you do a search on here for her posts you will get the definitive answer! hth:D0 -

Used one on Thursday, no problem, but on Saturday got 2 rejected by different cashiers. Would not scan so think they are now blocked. Due to expire in a week. Pity, they were good vouchers.0 -
Our Tescos stores in the area have now put messages over the coupon part on the self scan tills to say all coupons must be checked by staff before being used.... This is a new thing so I wonder if they are tightening up on coupon usage.0

A Coupon mad definitive answer from thread 6
There's no decision to be made about this one, Tesco have had their policy about conditional spends for years and years and years, it hasn't changed.
The wording of the coupon policy is similar to the email quoted above, in fact the policy sent to stores says 'we accept conditional spend vouchers from ALL MAJOR SUPERMARKETS'.
There is NO store discretion on these (unlike the main coupon policy where there is discretion on internet mocs and further discretion if a store has suffered coupon abuse). There is NO requirement at all for the competitor store to be anywhere near your local store at all (it just has to be a major Supermarket, which Waitrose is).
If you get turned down refer it up the line at your store. If they say they don't take them because there is no Waitrose nearby, they are wrong! If you're brave, show them the coupon policy wording email (above) and explain that proximity of the competitor is not an issue, all Tesco are supposed to take these vouchers regardless. Smile politely but be persistent and confident.
Finally don't bin them (Dr Who-Who take note!:D). If refused then send a letter - with the £60 receipts and vouchers - to Dundee and await the arrival of a nice £10 Tesco gift card.0 -
Has anybody worked out a way of solving the Couponnet printing problem that so many people have experienced? I've used CCleaner and all the other stuff people have suggested, but so far I haven't been able to get it to work again. Thanks.0
